You would think guettas sound has gone stall but he keeps coming up with titanium like songs that will do weel whatever era they are released cos they sound great.....RIP has fallen quick in the past few weeks!!

Guetta only has 5/6 different sounds which he (seems to) use though - maybe if he had more he could have longer term success?

Album Discussion Here

Listening to 'R.I.P' just makes me think how HUGE 'How We Do' is going to be in a few weeks. Although it's a bit of an odd follow up because both of the tracks sound so different (I agree that How We Do sounds a lot like Domino and Last Friday Night.)

It's a shame that Rita Ora felt she couldn't release R.I.P in the US, and that to get a hit in the US you have to release a straight-forward electropop song. I think if she'd taken a bit more of a risk and went with R.I.P she could've smashed there, it's just fantastic.

I think How We Do will be big here aswell though. It's okay-ish, but I hope she has better on her album.

God, thought we had went back to january there but thats right this silly 59p rule brings the stale stuff back!!
I can tell you there are 4 new entries to the top 40 and 1 re-entry.

Iknow and thats why im indifferent to him but when he gets it right like adding sia to this its MASSIVE and would be massive whatever era we are in!!

I think it's great how Rita Ora has shown her diversity as an artist this year

Single 1 - DJ Fresh produced drum n' bass song

Single 2 - Chase & Status produced hip-hop meets dubstep song

Single 3 - Jessie J/Katy Perry soundalike

Rita Ora could easily win Breakthrough Artist of 2012 at new year's BRITS

Guetta only has 5/6 different sounds which he (seems to) use though - maybe if he had more he could have longer term success?

He (accidentally) admitted on Capital FM a few months ago that he uses the same sounds in his songs. It was so funny.

He was being interviewed there, and they played this game with him where they play like 1 second of one of his songs and he has to say which one it is. He got two of them wrong. They played Gettin' Over You and he said it was Love is Gone. And the other was they played Who's That Chick?, but the bit they played was pretty much just a drum sound, and he kept trying to guess what it was and kept getting it wrong, and after that he said something like "In my defence, I use that kick drum in a lot of songs".

I read somewhere that this will be his last album/he wants to retire. I don't know if it's true though. Maybe he's sensing that the dance trend is ending.

'Night Of Your Life' would be a nice final single of his career! :P :D

Seriously - just release it already!

The Capital edit of 'Too Close' is weird - they cut out all but the first and last lines of the first verse. Really pointless and confuses me every time I hear it.

Domino need to DIE RIGHT NOW. (On a similar tip, BuzzJack will be pleased to know Sexy And I Know It had climbed!)

Mama Do The Hump a non-mover at #33 on its 33rd week top 75. Fun.

'Night Of Your Life' would be a nice final single of his career! :P :D

Seriously - just release it already!

I think if he releases another single, I'm pretty sure it'll be Crank It Up, since he almost released it instead of I Can Only Imagine.

If only that was true :( Am I the only one here that still likes/listens to Sexy And I Know It?

---

And if we get another David G single, it needs to be Night Of Your Life - we really don't need another David Guetta and Akon collab. Sexy Chick was and still is amazing but NOYL ruins his discography by 'only' peaking at #35 (and it's better than Crank It Up)

Noooo. I forgot that was still to come! :( *gets ready to mute and play 'Power & Control' over it*

I don't think How We Do is Electro-Pop, which means she stuggled there. You have to do electro-pop, RnB with a collbaration, or a emotional ballad to do well over in the USA.
