How high did Arctic Monkeys get with 'Crying Lightning'? #3? I think that's as high as a song has been on iTunes but not made the top 10 officially. (Although this isn't really fair as it was a mid-end of week release. Wasn't it?)

Oh yes! Great to see Some Nights finally top 40 at #37. I think it is not too late to try to get a top 40 place on sunday.
For some reason record labels are leaving big gaps between single and album releases recently so I wouldn't be suprised if there isn't another single before Stooshe's album.

The gap is hardly a mystery - anything to get the album release closer to the busy pre-Xmas period... :P

I hope they have some rappers on X Factor. The only one I can remember ever performing is Professor Green. But obviously X Factor wants the highest audience figures, and wants to be a family friendly show, so it's more likely to be adult contemporary-friendly artists like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, etc. performing.

I'm glad *you* said that, because if I had, Charlie might have been on my case again... ;)

They'd be good for a TV program targetted at 11-30 year-old males, but not the X Factor. Someone like Lady Gaga is better since she's popular with young children and also people aged 50+ love her, which means more viewers.

I wonder what the lowest official position for an ITunes top 10 is.

Kylie's Timebomb got to no 6 on ITunes but didn't get any higher than 31 officially

Justin Bieber's 'Turn to You (Mother's Day Dedication)' reached the top 10 I believe (or at least #11), but only peaked at #40 officially.

Perhaps we should specify only those songs that've had a full week's iTunes sales, otherwise we could get anomalies?

True, though I'm, pretty sure it was still top 10 on Sunday morning, and therefore got a full week of sales for the following week (and still managed no 31!)

Is Woodkid 'Run Boy Run' showing up anywhere inside the iTunes chart (within the top 1000? :D ) as it was used as backing music earlier this morning on BBC1's London Olympics for one of their VT's. I was just shocked to hear such a fantastic track (and recent BJSC winner :D ) getting played on BBC1.
Good Time by Owl City is the record of the week on bbc radio 2 this week!
Pretty random question but could someone explain what is meant when people refer to the iTunes chart as a 48 hour rolling chart?

Great to see Paloma Faith in the Top 100, I hope it will be able to reach the Top 40 next week.

I remember there was a song last year or in 2010 that went top 10 on iTunes and completely missed the top 40. I'll try and find out what it was later.
