I always try and listen to all the nominees, and I'm only familiar with three this year (Jessie Ware, Maccabees and Alt-J). Jessie Ware easily takes it out of those for me.

However, I'm listening to Ben Howard right now and wondering why the hell I didn't check it out sooner as it's absolutely gorgeous...

HUZZAH! Another Ben Howard convert, his album really is just lovely and incredibly consistent. Still listening to it regularly after the best part of a year.
Alt-J please.

Far beyond the rest.

Indeedsies.

Hmm, that list doesn't seem very exciting to me.

Have never understood the love for Ben Howard and Michael Kiwanuka is just DULL.

I loved The Maccabees' album when it was first released but I haven't had the urge to go back for repeated listenings. For me, the strongest would be Jessie Ware, although maybe only because it's the one I've heard most recently.

Hmmmm, that Sam Lee album doesn't sound too bad from the clips on iTunes. I may have to purchase.

hmmm that's hardly a fantastic list, is it?

I think Jessie Ware has a really good chance as does Ben Howard and Alt-J

Really hope Plan B doesn't get it.

Alt-J for me as well

Plan B is just too recent, surprised the album was picked up, there are some odd entries there.

What a dreadful list.

Where is the Electronica?.

My favourite album on the list is the Field Music one.

I'm guessing Alt J or Django Django will win.

I agree, titty. Surely there was an electronic album worthy of inclusion.
Kindness, Hot Chip...
Or RUSTIE. My very favourites never seem to get nominated. I'm gunning for Ben Howard now, though.
I'd like Ben Howard or Alt-J to win but I think that Alt-J will take the prize home. ^_^

Ben Howard and Django Django downloading.

I think you might like Django Django, it's very good - especially if you like Talk Talk and other such stammer-friendly band names. :D

Ben Howard's debut is an Autumn album so a great listen at this time of year IMO. You are a year late though, we've been 'banging the drum' for Ben in the Indie forum since late '11.

Just checked out a few songs by each of the nominees, definitely going to dig deeper into Lianne La Havas, Django Django, and Alt-J. Might do the same for Jessie ware, Ben Howard, and Field Music. Not sure if my taste is shifting or if it's just an anomaly of a list but I've found a lot more to like about this list than in previous years.
