They had already printed copies, this move is absolutely insane.

The ghost of The 411 post-"Teardrops" flopping rattles its chains...

Clearly female trios releasing ballads in the 4th quarter about fluid descending are a recipe for disaster

I swear the 411 had 4 members?

When I heard Love Me chart, I thought the 411 all over. Although Black Heart has outdone anything that group ever did, it does seem they've gone the same way. Delaying the album, I feel will improve the peak not the sales (Leona Lewis anyone?). Also it will have meant FOUR singles had been released at least before the album which is pretty insane and way too many. They should have released it after Black Heart.

Shows how memorable I found them I guess

Well, I couldn't tell you what any of them looked like, were called, etc.

Oh well that'll be Stooshe in 18 months. Which reminds me Stooshe is terrible name.

Bit of a ridiculous choice, it seems very last minute just because Waterfalls is underperforming compared to Black Heart...

Commercially it probably will wind up being a good move, but it's still pretty ridiculous. Of course the best thing they could've done was either release the album after Black Heart (as I think was originally planned?) or released something else in place of Waterfalls.

TBH it would've only done an On Your Radar if it were released on the 26th. The best option though would be for it to be released in January, after the Xmas rush but not too far away. Maybe even release a single beforehand? See Me Like This seems to have a video, it was included in the deluxe pre-order on iTunes.

I can honestly see this album never being released now.

I don't think radio will be as hot to support them now that 'Waterfalls' has flopped.

They'd have been best off releasing it after 'Black Heart' really, in the same way The Saturdays would have been better off releasing their last album after 'All Fired Up', and Pixie Lott after 'All About Tonight'.

Realistically though, releasing the after a second single for a new band is not a good idea long term [/see Cover Drive, for example]. A strong third single was needed, releasing the album on the back of a 90s cover was never gonna work, was it?

'Sparks' was Cover Drive's 3rd single, so I don't know what Dan meant. If 'Bajan Style' was released a week or two after 'Twilight', it would have got a higher peak. I still think it would only have had an extra 5k-10k in overall sales though. So overall sales wise, it wouldn't have had too much an effect (because 'Sparks' was a decent sized hit to launch the album off).
I said releasing an album after a single isn't good LONG TERM for a band [/see Cover Drive]. Look at the performance of the album after "Sparks" and even the follow-up single.
Can't say i'm surprised they've done this. Waterfalls was such a step backwards for them. Annoying though, I was looking forward to this album!
That post makes no sense to me whatsoever... sorry.

How? I'm saying they hindered any success they could possibly have releasing after the second single (or maybe third if people remember their first ACTUAL song)?
