So "Good Time" will be 2012's "Moves Like Jagger".

Really can't say that with any certainty, given that it has only been on sale for 3 days. Little Mix are almost as frontloaded as Dolly Parton I doubt they will make a 2nd week at #1.

Except when you consider the fact that Ne-Yo, Labrinth, and Example are dead certs for #1's.

That's er, jumping to conclusions a bit.

The closest we've had so far I think are She Doesn't Mind by Sean Paul or Next to Me by Emeli Sande, as those both were at #2 for 3 weeks (Sean blocked by 3 different #1s, and Emeli by 2).

But the highest-selling #2 of the year so far I think is Starships, even though that only spent 1 week at #2, so maybe people would consider that to be this year's Moves Like Jagger.

I can't see Good Time spending 4+ weeks at #2 tbh.

Ne-Yo and Example maybe. Labrinth probably won't even get top 10 unfortunately. His song is already up for download, and it's not top 100 on iTunes yet.

Treatment is like the 5th single from Labirinth's album, and the last one didn't even make top 10

Labrinth?

Just basing it on past experience, though I may be wrong there. I wouldn't rule out Tulisa or P!nk (dark horse though) as possibilities for future #1's either.

I hope Tulisa gets #1, but that isn't really the sort of song that would get to #1. :(

Pink maybe. I don't have a clue how that song will chart tbh, but it's already got great radio support, so it could happen.

Labrinth is very unlikely to get to #1 really. We were discussing this only a few days ago, very few post-album singles get to #1, and the ones that do are usually MASSIVE hits.

Except when you consider the fact that Ne-Yo, Labrinth, and Example are dead certs for #1's.

Not really? I don't think Example's new song is going to be #1 and it's a foregone conclusion that Labrinth's new song won't make #1.

I think Ne-Yo would stand a chance at #1 than Pink, if I remember rightly there was a fake version of Ne-Yo's track charting at some point

It's still there, at #75. It might chart top 100 today.

Oh please no!!! :manson:

It was bad enough Ne-Yo got to #1 with the hidious 'Beautiful Monster' in 2010. His new single going to no. 1 would be just as much of a :manson: if not more.

Yeah, I didn't like Beautiful Monster at all. Let's Go missed #1 (despite it being the follow up to massive smashes, Give Me Everything and We Found Love), so you never know I guess. But the fake version being so high this time makes me think it'll get there.

The song does seem to be struggling in the US though. It's only charted at #88 so far (although it is climbing). But that doesn't mean so much, since Beautiful Monster did bad there too.

I think Example is almost definitely a #1. The song is getting good radio support, and seems to be played loads on TV programmes recently. It's brilliant and fully deserves #1 too!

Killer  #23

Explode  #29

I would love Pink to get no.1 but I can't see it happening. The majority of her singles peak lower than they should.
Ugh the chart is so predictable at the moment with all these held back releases - sam and the womp was miles ahead last week and now will probably half its sales due to it having 30k worth of pre orders last week!!

I have a funny feeling that if Little Mix can reach a second week, Tulisa will get No.1 the week after.

Little Mix may reach the second week only because Ne-Yo's song is not as popular as their's

I would post this in the iTunes albums thread but I just can't find it!

Lucy's album now  2! And usually the newly released EPs fall down fairly quickly so she could be #1 tomorrow! :o
