Treading Water - Alex Clare made 59p

Last minute attempt to save him becoming, unfortunately, a one hit wonder

Sigh. I've no idea why radio haven't backed 'TW'. It's an amazing record.

That aside she's never really done much commercially, and now everyone just laughs at her for being a flop :( It's just a pity because she really should be massive, but she's been managed awfully. Her material isn't quite as amazing as I expected either (lovely as it is, it's very basic RnB and I thought she'd be more interesting than that) but it is good. Hopefully her third album (if we ever get it) can be the making of her.

I've never heard anybody call her a flop before. She's probably in the top 10 most successful female R&B singers in the world during the past 5 years. Turnin Me On and Pretty Girl Rock were also big enough hits to make the year-end Hot 100 in the US.

I think something like Lose Control could've been a big hit in the UK, considering it sounds like What's My Name? and Twilight. Almost everybody I know really likes her, so if she can get back on UK radio (meaing Capital and Radio 1) with a catchy song, I think she can get another hit here.

I'll never understand why Ne-yo's had such a successful career. He has one of the whiniest voices ever.

He writes and produces lots of Rihanna's songs, so I feel slightly obliged to like him.

Keri Hilson is extremely underrated here in the UK. 'Knock You Down' was admittedly a big hit here, but the lesser hits 'Energy' and even more so 'I Like' are just as good; if not better. 'I Like' is actually her highest peaking single in certain European countries - hit #1 in Germany for example.

Shontelle is another underrated female R&B artist too - though at least she's managed two top 10 hits with 'T-Shirt' and 'Impossible'. Perhaps the two should collaborate, new material either way is definitely in need right now.

I Like is brilliant! Although admittedly it sounds like a clone of Say It Right. I Like had the most lucky UK chart run ever, it was on the verge of falling out the top 40 for weeks, but managed to stay in each time.

I'd say Shontelle has done well for herself too. I got bored of Impossible very quickly, but T-Shit is just gorgeous.

No really, she's like the butt joke of the industry right now, along with Ciara. Sad, because I rather liked her album!

Ciara has had an amazing career aswell. Unless people have forgotten everything that happened pre-2009, I can't see why they'd be considered a "joke".

You obviously haven't watched the Nekci Menij show then  She gets made fun of a few times there, in one episode Beyonce asks Nicole Scherzinger for a coffee so Nicole phones Keri Hilson up to make it for her.

Anyway, this is going a bit off topic :P With the right song I think she could get another hit. 'Knock You Down' was amazing but her other songs e.g. Pretty Girl Rock sound a little dated.

I'm pretty much agreeing with most in respect of Pink leaving it FAR too late to release Blow Me. It's not a bad song by any means, but it's a bit of a non-event by her standards (and very Pink-by-numbers). I think Raise Your Glass actually had more hype, and that didn't even go Top 10 so I wouldn't be surprised if this did too. :( Ne-Yo, I think will fairly easily make #1, it seems to be the most hyped release of the big 3 and also has a fake version charting (plus is catchy)! I'm not sure on The Script, I'm not seeing masses of hype, but then again I never have with them and they always seem to get a hit! #3 maybe?

Bandwagon jump time.

1. Ne-Yo - Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)

3. The Script ft Will.I.Am - Hall Of Fame

11. Pink - Blow Me (One Last Kiss)

Ne-Yo Top 5

1. Knock You Down (with Keri Hilson & Kanye West)

2. Closer

3. Beautiful Monster

4. Because Of You

5. Let's Go (with Calvin Harris)

-34-35-35-40-39-40- is very unusual! It's certainly my favourite Keri Hilson song, definitely a shame that it wasn't a hit for her. I love Knock You Down, Girl Rock and Return the Favour too - I would have thought the latter would have been a bigger hit for considering I saw it on TV all the time! Energy is a bit boring, but still deserved a Top 40 placing.

Keri's debut album was fantastic, so many highlights. Knock You Down was my JAM. No Boys Allowed wasn't quite as good, I don't think. I haven't revisited it since my first listen...

I'm SO glad I Like's chart run was that rather than 44-42-41-45-41-43- or something. I complain about chart runs a lot, but we got so lucky with that one.

Keri Hilson did the demo of Don't Hold Your Breath by Nicole Scherzinger, which got to #1 last year. Keri's version is SO much better, the instrumental is amazing, it's so much better than the old-fashioned instrumental they used for the final version. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xdomcr_ke...th-ft-tim_music

Wow! That's really good! The Timbaland part at the beginning was a tad too long, and longer Keri verse would be nice, but it is after all just a demo, so I'm sure the real deal would be even more amazing! I really like Nicole's version, but I think I would much rather Keri release her version if it was completed!

I have to hand it to Keri Hilson - I don't think I've seen a bigger fall from 'grace' to see her doing a gig at the WALMART CAR PARK

I wish Nicole had at least done a remix like this. Don't Hold Your Breath was such a disappointment really (although certainly an improvement on Poison!).

!! EXACTLY

i love keri hilson, i rly do but she is a notable flop. her, ciara, brandy, ashanti - ALL being tarred with the "omg wot r u doin" stick i'm afraid. there's a reason ciara's album was called BASIC instinct...

Really? I prefer Poison, I think it's a great track! Wet is by far her best single though!

Wow, really? Every forum, blog site and unprofessional music site I go to calls her a flop daily.

But still, Knock You Down>>>

Aha, I need to catch up! I've watched the first 10/11 episodes. It's just so addicting and you have to watch them all in one go.

Really? I love Poison. Very energetic, and stands out a little amongst RedOne's brilliant (in my opinion) production line! Though you're less of a generic-freak than me, so I'll excuse you for the dislike... :P

You know one day Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are going to flop too. :P There was a time when Ciara, Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, etc. were the biggest pop stars in the world, and look at them now.

My least hated RedOne songs are The Silence, Start Without You, Love Game, Alejandro and Fire Burning (so basically all the ones which sound least like RedOne ).

Poison just reminds me of Toxic by Britney Spears tbh (mainly because of the title). The difference being that Toxic is insanely catchy, and still sounds fresh today, Poison not so much for me on both counts. :(

Yeah that's true, but the difference now is the internet and online fanbases who can interact between each other and really stick together. It's weird and perhaps a bit presemptuous, but I can't see the 40million or so fans of these artists on Facebook just suddenly switching off the artists. I guess it could happen gradually though.

Quite a scary thought  I wonder who's in the wings ready to take over...
