My least hated RedOne songs are The Silence, Start Without You, Love Game, Alejandro and Fire Burning (so basically all the ones which sound least like RedOne ).

The Silence? Alexandra Burke's The Silence?! :o

It upsets me to see Ciara put in with these other flop bitches/basic bitches. At least she was successful for more than one single which can't be said for Keri Hilson. That and her material is usually amazing .

Yeah, I know. I find it difficult to believe too. I wonder if David Guetta or Skrillex also has some epic ballad hidden away somewhere.

I Like is brilliant! Although admittedly it sounds like a clone of Say It Right. I Like had the most lucky UK chart run ever, it was on the verge of falling out the top 40 for weeks, but managed to stay in each time.

I'd say Shontelle has done well for herself too. I got bored of Impossible very quickly, but T-Shit is just gorgeous.

I find Keri Hilson very hit and miss - But she has some tracks which I really can't fault, particularly Knock You Down, Energy and I Like. I'm still amazed I Like did so well in the UK bearing in mind it didn't seem to get any promotion and minimal airplay.

I disagree on Shontelle though. I have loved her material (Particularly Say Hello To Goodbye, Perfect Nightmare and Stuck With Each Other) and I am still shocked how well Impossible did in the UK :o But other than that and T-Shirt, it hasn't gone too well for her but her management have only seem to put half a heart into her campaign anyway. But Perfect Nightmare should have smashed. And the albums should have been bigger.

I remember Impossible getting LOTS of radio airplay on Capital (which is why I got bored of it so quickly). Kind of similar to what Cover Drive, The Wanted, etc. get on the station.

You're right, even Heart played it at one point.

You know one day Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are going to flop too. :P There was a time when Ciara, Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, etc. were the biggest pop stars in the world, and look at them now.

Poison just reminds me of Toxic by Britney Spears tbh (mainly because of the title). The difference being that Toxic is insanely catchy, and still sounds fresh today, Poison not so much for me on both counts. :(

Of course every artist can flop, but I presume you are talking about flopping in a drastic way, ala Ciara post Fantasy Ride era. I honestly think Rihanna is now that much of an established artist that she cannot and will not just fade away (flop) suddenly. She's been in the industry for 7 years and has 6 albums. She's kind of a brand, just like with Beyonce. Also, she (and her team; producers, songwriters, management etc) are clever. They will not make the same mistakes that those artists up there did (releasing dated music, taking too long of a break and changing 'who they are 'too much; musically and image wise). The only way she can fuxk it up is by, I don't know...killing someone or doing something that bad that will cause the public to hate her. :P

Which is never gonna happen.

I mean technically "Talk That Talk" has been a flop era for Rihanna, minus two top tens. Everything else failed to make the top ten, which for a singles artist like Rihanna is bad.

Multiple artists (including all the artists that has been discussed recently) would LOVE to be a singles artist that sells over 900,000 copies of an album in a "flop" era. But I suppose selling ~1,800,000 singles in one era is pretty bad for a singles artist. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/777ff663.gif

BITCH PLEASE. Yes Ciara has had a more successful solo career, but Keri's featured on more than enough hits (+ had more than one herself :P) and managed to write songs for other artists etc.. :P

So has Ciara, probably not as much but still. At the end of the day, most people would only know Keri for 'Knock You Down'.

Ciara at least has 'Goodies', 'One Two Step', 'Oh!', 'Love Sex Magic' and 'Lose Control' all of which were huge.

Pretty sure people only know Ciara because of 'Goodies' nowadays (Or even 'Taking Back My Love' - which Keri's replacement if we were to include duets would be 'The Way I Are'). All the others, despite being big at the time, that's pretty much all they were. Just big hits at the time. Same with Keri. But I would definitely say 'Knock You Down' and 'The Way I Are' are more fondly remembered than 'Goodies' (despite that being a number 1 hit) and 'Taking Back My Love'. I love both but they're very similar success wise.

Sorry for interrupting this enthralling discussion about Ciara and Keri Hilson...

 178. Treading Water - Alex Clare

Glad the price reduction's had some effect. The song was just never gonna be big (Up All Night would've been a slightly better single choice), not helped by the fact it probably isn't getting much/any radio or TV support :(

Ne-Yo and The Script are pretty significant competition. She might beat The Script but she's definitely not going to beat Ne-Yo.

Why not - his new song contains nothing that hasn't been done before, and better?

Would be interesting to hear what the many Dappy haters think about this too, because it's fairly different to what we're used to from him and N-Dubz.

And the video is incredible too. Very "Earth Song-esque"...

That doesn't sound like much of a recomendation to me. :P

ES was one of the mostly absurdly overblown videos ever - even more so than Meat Loaf!

45. Deadmau5 feat. Gerard Way "Professional Griefers"

55. Otto Knows "Million Voices"

94. PSY "Gangnam Style"

Amazing to see these doing well

It's Ne-Yo. He can burp the alphabet and it'd be a UK hit. He just seems to have a rather bizzare fanbase in the UK - enough fans to get him to no. 1 then rocketing down the charts in week 2.

Anyways, I saw the video earlier and forced myself to listen to the whole song. Still think the verses are dreadful and his strained(ish) vocals in the chorus continue to grate on me, but I would say 'Let Me Love You' is marginally better than 'Beautiful Monster' which was a complete non event of a song.

'Closer' remains Ne-Yo's best single, imo, and I doubt he will ever release a track that will better it. He will still somehow continue to get UK #1 hits though.

Since when did anything original get to #1 anyway?
