Posted August 27, 201212 yr The new single 'I Will Wait' by Mumford & Sons is released on 24th September and is taken from their second studio album 'Babel'. It has so far managed to peak at #3 on the US iTunes as well as #23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their highest placed single here has been 'Little Lion Man' which peaked at #24, however anticipation is greater for this release and it is already on the B-list on the Radio 1 playlist. Where do you think it will peak?
August 27, 201212 yr '4-5' and '5-10' overlap - I assume the latter is meant to be '6-10' :P Said that anyway, I think it should go top 10 and their album will be #1 with massive first week sales but won't outsell their debut in the long run.

Oh woops  yes its meant to be 6-10 thanks for pointing it out
August 27, 201212 yr I think probably something like #8, the album will obviously open with big sales as well as Bré said!
August 27, 201212 yr I'm hoping it does well, but I'm not expecting anything more than around 11-20. Apparently they're releasing this on the same week as the album? Honestly not sure why
August 27, 201212 yr I think it will probably go low top 10 I think the album will do much better. I wonder if that will hit 1 million by the end of the year?

The album is released on the same day as the new Green Day album so they may not make number one even with hefty first week sales.
August 29, 201212 yr I think it will probably go low top 10 I think the album will do much better. I wonder if that will hit 1 million by the end of the year? To be honest, I don't know if the album will do that well. Even if it gets to number 1 that doesn't guarantee good sales, especially in today's sales climate. I don't think having a successful previous album helps much either as Plan B's didn't do that well at all sales-wise.
August 29, 201212 yr It highly deserves top 5 or number 1 but they simply are not a singles act so i will say Top 20. I do believe the album will open with high sales and they will manage another million selling album in this era.
August 29, 201212 yr I imagine it'll chart around #7 and not stick around overly long, probably about 5 weeks in the top 40 but even so I'm sure it doesn't matter as they're very much an albums act.
August 29, 201212 yr The album is released on the same day as the new Green Day album so they may not make number one even with hefty first week sales. Mumford & Sons will easily see off Green Day I think - I know '21st Century Breakdown' sold 80k in three days but I can't see their new album doing anywhere near that even with 6 days of sales. The two singles so far have both made absolutely no impact at all beyond the first couple of days' fanbase buying ('Know Your Enemy' wasn't massive but it was massive in comparison to 'Oh Love' and 'Kill The DJ'). Green Day should still get decent first week sales and an easy #2 debut though. Edited August 29, 201212 yr by Bré
August 29, 201212 yr Somewhere in the 20s I think, its been released on US iTunes already (How rude, remember your roots guys!) and its doing moderately well there. I expect the same here, and it may become their highest peaking single yet .

DOS! would be exceedingly lucky to make #1 given its November release but I'm hopeful that at least TRE! can reach the top in January.
August 30, 201212 yr Haven't heard the song yet (not knowingly at least), but I can't see it going Top 10. I would love to be proven wrong though. I can definitely see it reaching the Top 20 though, maybe even the Top 15. Wherever it peaks, I hope it can have longevity like Little Lion Man and The Cave.
