It's really weird to think that Pink's last studio album was released before Lady GaGa made her first ever entry on the UK charts. :o Shows how long ago 4 years actually is.

That actually seems very recent to me tbh. I was in college when she released her last album.

The Script can back the hell off of Pink. She has to have this.

I can remember the first time I heard So What, but that does seem like 4 years ago!

Just realised 'Heatwave' is already out of the top 10 - the weather isn't as great as it was when it was right at the top I guess but even so I'd have expected it to stay top 10 for more than 5 weeks! Florence is out of the top 10 as well (but on the plus side Angel has managed to stick in there, would have expected him to drop out from the weekend effect and the P!nk/The Script/Ne-Yo barrage). 'Heatwave' @ #12 and 'We'll Be Coming Back' @ #15, hope the latter can overtake the former soon and be a mini version of 'Read All About It'/'Earthquake' but that's highly unlikely.

Not necessarily the right topic but rather than make a new post about it elsewhere I see 'Black Heart' has now overtaken 'Payphone' in the weekly charts (released on the same week) :D That's a very pleasant surprise, although 'Black Heart' isn't that great itself.

Well this week is to be the start of an indian summer, with a week without rain and temos in london of 20-26 degrees.

I love coming on here on a sunday and being shocked by the no1, great that an 'old' artist like pink can still grab a uk no1 single, lets hope she stays there!!

Great to see Deepest Shame top 40, its the most accessible song on the album, the rest of the album is immense imo. great that public enemy is top 10 for the first time...also i see mumford and sons single is already out in the us - but we have to wait for 4 more weeks
I can't get over how successful Flo Rida has been these past few months, in all honesty the last three singles were awful. Plus I don't think anyone in the world takes him at all seriously.
I remember Flo Rida used to always have a huge first single, and then the rest of the singles which followed flopped big time. What a massive change in fortune he's had.

I love Pink so i'm glad she's #1, but really not feeling this single. Looking forward to the album though! :D

Also really like The Script but not liking their new single either, but again, curious to hear the rest of the album, their first one is so good!

Ne-Yo should make top 3 too, a whole new top 3! I like that, good clear out

Why does everyone think Ne-Yo is gonna be number 1? everything so far points towards Pink. She got to #1 on itunes really early and she's still there with a good lead, she was the last song to be played on the chart show which means she's gonna get a huge push from radio 1 and it's a new release which means that the sales will be steady for most of this week at least.

Well I was expecting to see Ne-Yo at number 1 when I first looked at Itunes this morning and I'm very glad to see he's still not there now even if its still likely he may manage to get there eventually. I thought after Let's Go, I'd come round to him but this is as generic and bland as anything he's released, plus he sounds like he's sat on a pin halfway through recording when he sings 'Let Me Love You' at the start of the chorus!

As for the other two, I quite like The Script's song despite them being incredibly overrated in general and whilst Pink's song is very much nothing new from her, I actually don't mind it and its a big improvement on Raise Your Glass. (although I thought that about Perfect & So What as well, and I pretty much hate them both now so I'll see how it ages). So yeah, I'd be happy with the top 3 staying as it is, just as long as Ne-Yo stays third or second. :P

That was my weekly-or-so post in this thread, see you all next sunday! :D

Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=4085824

59p songs in the top 100:

10 Angel - Wonderful

50 Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump

52 Uncle Kracker - Follow Me

55 Coolio feat. L.V. - Gangasta's Paradise

68 The Killers - Mr Brightside

71 Owl City - Fireflies

76 Tom Petty - Free Fallin'

79 Stevie Wonder - Superstition

81 Taylor Swift - Love Story

93 Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind (Part II) Broken Down

99 Smiler feat. Professor Green & Taiwah - Top Of The World

Why does Flo Rida always have to sample dance songs that I really like? :drama: His new song "I Cry" takes a massive sample from Bingo Players' "Cry (Just A Little)", which went to #44 in October last year.

I can always dream that Bingo Players will get a 'Levels' type boost in popularity when "I Cry" does well in the chart. Of course this won't happen.

 13. Fun 'Some Nights'

 14. Emeli Sande 'Read All About It, Pt. III'

 40. Flo Rida 'I Cry'

 51. Professor Green 'Avalon'

 60. Deadmau5 'Professional Griefers'

 70. Labrinth 'Treatment'

Some Nights would be top 10 if it wasn't for the new releases :(
