I saw 'Pound The Alarm' got a new topic, so I guess Nicki's new single needs one too!

 

When talking about the upcoming re-release of her second album called 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up', she said this about her brand new single!

 

“I’m putting lots of new songs on there and I’m actually going to drop my new single next week so barbz, you are going to spaz, you are going to love it, you are going to go crazy.”

 

I hope this single is going to be 'Starships'-style and I assume it will be, but could she make a return to a single with a 'Superbass' or even 'Moment 4 Life' sound? Has she been working with RedOne again?

She really needs a more urban track really, I do adore pop Nicki but she can't release banger after banger, if it's pop again it should be something like Va Va Voom.

'The Re-Up' though?!?! I assume the rumoured Misha B version of Automatic will be on it?

It better not be another Starships clone. But that's blatantly what it's going to be.

They're moving on after just two singles? (and one was basically just a re-tread of the other) :blink: That's the sort of thing you'd expect from The Saturdays. I'd have thought she would bring out at least another two singles before ending the era

 

 

I was saying this in the chart show thread today, but Pound the Alarm is flopping in the US. At this stage, it's looking very unlikely to reach even the top 10, and if Pound the Alarm can't go top 10, then songs like Whip It and Automatic most definitely won't.

 

The only way she can get a top 10 hit is to heavily remix one of her songs or have completely new material.

 

I heard RedOne has signed to Cash Money (which I genuinely thought was a joke when I first found out), so they've probably done some new (I say new, but we already know what they'll sound like) songs together.

Apparently every album is having that tag, mind you, this is from the same woman who ignored a poll where "Va Va Voom" won or "Save Me" was going to have a Titantic-themed video.

I don't think she'll release Whip It as a single, since it'll flop like Pound the Alarm. Nicki is desperate to have big hits.
