Okay then, well there've been no music videos in the past few years that are truly iconic!

I consider Bad Romance to be an iconic music video. Gaga is an icon whether you're a fan or not, and her image and fans revolve mainly around the concepts of the Bad Romance video.

It helped to create further the image/brand of Gaga just like Hit Me Baby did for Britney.

I think you need to read the definition of "iconic".

Just don't ask Alanis Morissette to explain it :D

Update: You'll never walk alone now at no. 22 (and also at nos. 671 and 749).

Should make this week's Top 75 chart.

 21. You'll Never Walk Alone - Gerry & The Pacemakers

I think this already has the record for the longest top 40 span of any song (12/10/1963 to 01/05/2010), looks like it could extend that by another 2 years and 4 months.

EDIT: Actually it's slightly shorter than the 25/01/1958 to 19/02/2005 span of 'Jailhouse Rock', but if it re-enters again then it'll overtake that.

Happy with Guetta and Sia making top 10

For anyone who wants to see a violent, bitchy yet extremely attractive side to Leona, here you go: :kink:

Lurveeeeeeeeeeeee it.

McFlyday was great about 2 years ago but is just stale now.

McFly rerecorded it in New York as a tribute to Chris Moyles - entitled "Star Boy":

It's a great song anyway, and deserves to be McFly's best seller (I assume it's their highest in the download era, but "All About You" is ahead overall).

 15 Gerry and The Pacemakers/ You'll Never Walk Alone Looking set to re-enter the Top40 on Sunday?

54 The Streets/ Dry Your Eyes Back because it was played on the final Chris Moyles show

70 Green Day/ Good Riddence (Time of Your Life) Same thing?

Bad Romance is definitely an iconic video, she'll never top it. One of the best music has ever seen I'd say, (BR also being one of the most unique songs ever made imo). I'm not even a massive Gaga fan

Nicki Minaj has released "The Boys" (featuring Cassie) to iTunes!

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/the-boys-single/id562172178

Can't see this doing much but I hope it does, it's far better than 'Pound The Alarm' for one.

110. Dont You Worry, Dont You Worry Child - Tribute to Swedish house mafia - (Dont You Worry Child)

I'm not sure what SHM have done to deserve such awful grammar but nonetheless this is a very positive sign. #1 please!

I said a couple of pages ago that Pink probably wouldn't fall out of the top 10 on iTunes until next week, and now she has already. :drama: Gerry & The Pacemakers are up to #6.

I don't think the Nicki Minaj song is a single in the UK. It'll probably just do similar to Right By My Side or something.

Party Rock Anthem so far has definitely been most people's favourites though. It's simple, charming and funny, and not try-hard and desperate like a lot of other music videos were around that time, which is why I think everybody likes it so much. It'll be remembered for decades.

I don't even like the song very much, but the music video is perfect. I bet they had no idea it would be so popular when they made it.

Just because it is most people's favourite video (and where is the evidence for this?), it doesn't make it iconic.

And by "a few years", I presume you mean since 2008 in which case 'Single Ladies' definitely qualifies.

GaGa might be an icon but I wouldn't say she has had a single truly iconic video - especially 'Bad Romance'.

 4. You'll Never Walk Alone - Gerry & The Pacemakers

Fucking hell, if this boost isn't short-lived and Example underperforms next week this could actually return to #1 after 49 years :o Extremely unlikely though, but it must be looking at a top 10 re-entry at least now (and definitely back in the top 40 this week).

Other versions at #130, #167 and #585.

WTF is this song doing at 4?

Yes indeed as a Liverpool fan myself I have always loved this song & given the circumstances, I would love to see it #1 on Itunes even if it was for a few hours. Sad times this week.

This. An incredible song, which id love even if I wasn't brought up as a Liverpool fan.
