Posted September 26, 201212 yr Here it is, released on iTunes today (apparently) Where do you think this will peak? http://soundcloud.com/rihanna/diamonds toghgd5_SwU&v=PHXfBr1VyKE Edited September 26, 201212 yr by Gezza
September 26, 201212 yr Really hard to predict. I think the UK will love it though, so I'm going for the safe option and saying top 3. I really hope she releases this here in the UK. I WANT the iTunes rip SO BAD.
September 26, 201212 yr Depends on the competition.. It's not a club banger and she's done best with those recently..
September 26, 201212 yr Whilst it isn't as instant as Only Girl and We Found Love, I think the sheer power of Rihanna will send it up to #1.
September 26, 201212 yr Sounds incredible. A remix'll definitely be needed for it to become a club banger like 'We Found Love' and 'Where Have You Been', but I think the radio'll love 'Diamonds'. The fact it's written by the oh-so-popular Sia also helps, I reckon it'll debut at #7/8 this week and potentially climb to #1 soon (though not next week, it's 1D!).
September 26, 201212 yr Not feeling it at the moment but maybe it's because the radio rip doesn't allow for the full power to come through the speakers...hence why I'm tinkering with it on Adobe Audition at the moment
September 26, 201212 yr It's really beautiful. Rihanna's star power should send it to #1, even if it's not very '2012'. Quite different.
September 26, 201212 yr Scott Mills just played it - this Sunday or next would be the perfect release time for here, but even a release today would enable her to go top 10 and stay there - shes not like Muse or bands like that were she will fall down quickly!!
September 26, 201212 yr If the track drops Sunday, its going to be a very interesting week with OneD and possibility the Bond track. Wow what a week. If its released today, considering singles sales are low Script only managed 64k last week, its probably in contention for #1 on Sunday, the track needs a good lead. Quite like the track on first listen, not bad at all.
September 26, 201212 yr The HQ really is perfection! In a perfect world this'd be #1 for a VERY long time, it should get a week if it's released this Sunday though.
September 26, 201212 yr Do not get it whatsoever, sounds like a bad rip-off of "Midnight City" to me. Probably #1 anyway.
September 26, 201212 yr It's quite nice on first listen. You can definitely tell Sia wrote it. The only thing is it would be sound better if it had more drums imo (like Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart or something). I voted top 3. This isn't going to #1 lol. But I still think it'll do pretty well hopefully. Edited September 26, 201212 yr by Eric_Blob
