I feel indifferent about Rihanna now being #1. I like both songs, but it would just be funnier for their fans if One Direction weren't #1. "Diamonds" can get #1 any week until November.

 

Jason Mraz is back in the top 10. Is that what everybody is celebrating about?

HA! I didn't even notice that - it'd be nice for Jason to belatedly get his first top ten hit (that "I'm Yours" or any of the other singles from his last album deserved). It's a good song though, so I'm pleased for him.

Rihanna #1! She is the biggest artist in the world right now I'd say, so it's not crazy surprising. Even though it is a little when you think she's up against OneD, it has no video, and it hasnt got huge radio play yet.

 

I still think OneD will be #1 by Sunday though, but Diamonds will be #1 at some point without a doubt, I guess theres a chance she could be #1 Sunday. Good little battle we got on here.

 

Wow Jason Mraz back in top 10 at #10 (59p and X Factor promo (the two best contestants have sung this song)) Who knew how huge this would be :o Another I'm Yours for him!

Yeah it'll be #1, tbf even now i've heard it loads on the radio in it's first week of just being premiered! Anything Ri puts her name on everyone is immediately interested it seems!

Omg! Yay! Jason Mraz top 10 after all the X-factor exposure :wub: I don't believe he went top 10 on itunes before, so hopefully the top 10 effect will benefit him greatly!

 

Also, surprised to see Rihanna at #1. But the EP sales might be too much for her to beat them this week. But then again, who knows!

On the plus side, this could be the first top 2 in a while where both tracks sell over 100k. 'We Found Love' sold around 87k after getting released on a Wednesday, so 'Diamonds' has the potential to easily sell over 100k this week.

It wasn't that long ago! Wiley and Calvin Harris did it in early August, so only two months ago :P Still, it'd only be the third time this year (following DJ Fresh and Emeli Sandé) to happen :D

Eugh Rihanna #1. Lets hope either 1D can still get the #1 by Sunday or if Adele is rumoured to be releasing at the end of the week, then that can get to #1 somehow.

Wow, didn't expect that at all! Wasn't overly keen on Diamonds until today, definitely one of my favourites from her. Not too fussed on 1D or Rihanna getting number one, both are good songs. Although I do prefer Rihanna. :wub:

I'm certain OneD will get the #1 single next Sunday, there is also the physical single and the obvious EP sales, unless Rihanna develops a big lead. Both tracks could potentially sell over 100k, as mentioned above.
