October 29, 201212 yr Going by all of the previous series, nobody who appeared in the bottom two has ever won, meaning only Ella, James, Jahmene, Christopher and Lucy have a chance (well, the last two don't even have that!). A pretty poor showing, but then again, the last two years had so many more contestants during the early stages.
October 29, 201212 yr It's quite odd how bottom 2 is a death sentence over here, in Australia Reece Mastin won X-Factor and he was in the bottom 2 once, also Fantasia won American Idol having been in the bottom 2 twice, and Diana DeGarmo who was 2nd that year was bottom 2 something like 3 or 4 times! The acts who've made the final after being one sing off are: Tabby G4 Ray Quinn Ben Mills JLS Olly Murs Cher Lloyd Amelia Lily None of them have been there more than once. October 29, 201212 yr Olly Murs had been in a sing-off before the final. Cher Lloyd had also been there but she was in two, I think?
October 29, 201212 yr Oh yeah, Olly actually had the least votes that week as well so would have gone if they had taken it to deadlock :o Cher technically should have been in one but there was the whole 'fixing' thing to get her to the final of 4 rather than Mary.
October 29, 201212 yr Cher Lloyd was ridiculous. They extended the number for the final just to include her and she still couldn't get enough votes so they had to have a sing off to get rid of Mary. It was awful because Cher definitely didn't stand a chance against the other 3 acts. But the producers wanted her there. Watch it happen to Lucy.

Amelia maybe a little early, but she definitely succeeded over Marcus after only one song! Olly Murs is probably the biggest success story here. Outselling everyone from his series and leaving them high and dry (not that it was hard). What's even more impressive is, that he's as successful as he is, despite looking likely to leave the competition early on had it gone to deadlock!
November 3, 201212 yr Next Elimination District 3 1/1 Kye Sones 7/2 Christopher Maloney 7/2 Rylan Clark 11/2 ------- Union J 20/1 Ella Henderson 50/1 James Arthur 50/1 Jahmene Douglas 50/1 Clear divide between half of them. One of the bottom four could be in for a shock though if Christopher and Rylan are saved again, and District 3 get the sympathy vote. But surely this is a week, that we can predict? (D3 and Kye?)

November 10, 201212 yr Yeah, I'd agree with those odds. I still think Jahmene would be a horrendous winner - he's had one performance I liked and that was tonight's because he didn't go OTT with the tragic ad libs he usually adds to every sentence. Ideally my final 2 would be Ella Vs James and whilst that's still possible I think Jahmene will be the one to throw a spanner in the works.
November 11, 201212 yr Post Performance Odds for tonight's elimination District 3 = 2.94 (2/1) Rylan Clark = 3 (2/1) ------------------------------------- Christopher Maloney = 4.9 (4/1) Union J = 9.4 (17/2) Jahmene Douglas = 16 (15/1) James Arthur = 30 (29/1) Ella Henderson = 55 (54/1)
November 15, 201212 yr If Ella doesn't win then I'm team Christopher, or failing that team Rylan, just for the sheer patheticness / lolz (although Rylan has disappointed in recent weeks to even provide lolz). Union J can sometimes be borderline decent but Jahmene and James are ALWAYS shit and either would be a horrific winner. Despite the odds I can't see Jahmene winning but sadly I could easily see James doing so.
November 15, 201212 yr If James wins he will go the same way as Matt, no one will care for his singing which needs subtitles come August 2013
November 15, 201212 yr James and Jahmene shit? Sorry, but neither of them are poor. I can get it if you don't like them, but to call them shit is showing a lack of ability to distance between something that is good and something that you don't like. Both will do well post show. Jahmene will obviously be the Mum's artist, but if SyCo can get him some big covers and good songs to sing then he could be more than a Mother's Day artist. James is well liked by everyone I know, infact literally ever person I know from 17-22 has him as their favourite, very similar to Matt Cardle in that respect. He flopped though because SyCo had no idea how to market him as an artist, and by giving him a third rate Gary Barlow song they basically shot themselves in the foot.
