I fully agree with you - Carolynne is a brilliant singer. She was just as good when she was on Fame Academy 9 years ago.

Will she be back to Emmerdale I wonder?

 

I just can't understand how that cry baby nutcase survived - shows Nicole & Louis have no taste. Louis says he's entertaining - well he's not what I would call entertainment.

Oh dear! :lol: What a crap show it was tonight – poor performances (yes, including Leona, her vocals were just not as good as they should be), and obviously a fixed result. Carolynne was one of the highlights from last night.

Along with Ella & Jade she should have been Top 3 not bottom.

Only decent group this year is MK1 - all the lads are rubbish apart from Chris in the overs

 

As for Ryland he's just a joke :puke2: :puke2:

Am I the only one who wasn't at all shocked that Carolynne got the least votes? She doesn't have a strong potential fanbase in this country and her performance was not good enough to make people say 'oh wow I usually don't like country-like music but this is really good'.

In the nicest possible way, Carolyne wasn't good enough to win Fame Academy, so was she ever going to win The X Factor, no.

No. I definetly thought she would be in the Bottom 2 and possibly have the least votes, and it didn't help with her Starships performance either.

That guy who tried for the British X Factor the other year didn't even make it to Boot camp (iirc) yet won X Factor France :D

But she did come 3rd - the late Barry Gibb (who was a judge) actually put her first.

 

I think it was more a case of her being expected to be safe so people just didn't bother voting. Her sing off song Faith Hill's - There You'll Be was brilliant. Also it is a song that is very dear to me.

Louis took so damn long to make a decision, and his he did at first vote to *save* Carolyne, but kept changing his mind. That's why I thought he was being annoying.

Excuse me, but Leon Jackson won X Factor, Carolynne was definitley in with a shout. She should have been this year looking at what we have left.

 

Oh well, I'm done for this year. If the talent is better next year I may tune in. I may dip in and out of these threads to see what's going on but I'm not gonna waste my weekend nights boosting ratings for this drivel.

I had a feeling as soon as Melanie and the two boybands were through that Carolynne was gone. Then when it was her and Rylan I knew it was going to be deadlock, and that she was stuffed!

 

The OTT blaming Louis is hardly fair though, it's the public who voted Rylan and although Louis should've had enough sense to just save Carolynne it's fair enough - she got less votes than Rylan and that's that. I really liked her, but there was nothing special to be honest. Most of the time she was just 'nice' and had not much star quality. As has been said, it's hardly as if she was going to win (or even come anyway near winning), it was just a bit premature. She should've definitely outlasted the two boybands and Rylan, plus I prefered her to a few others that are through!

I'm pretty sure Dermot pushed Louis for an answer and he said he wanted to save Carolynne, before someone walking in front of the camera and then said he wanted to save Rylan. I wish the audience would shut up when the judges were choosing, so that Dermot could actually hear his response. (I realise it was probably the producers that told him to make it go to deadlock, but he shouldn't have been so weak and actually thought "f*** YOU ALL. I WANT TO SAVE CAROLYNNE" etc..)

Changing the subject, but did anyone else really fall in love with Nicole over the weekend? I'm a fan of Tulisa and Louis, but Nicole was on fire and really entertaining! Hope she keeps it up and potentially gets really bitchy as the series goes on.

Nicole was absolutely brilliant, 'you might want a little burger with that cheese' and her Do What You Like comments especially!
