Says alot when we're hoping Leona SCRAPES a top 10 placing, this for an artist who TXF make us believe is a God-like figure....

I don't see her being in anyway successful this album

Leona's in trouble I think. The performance was as good as it could have been, but there's no way she's making up that huge gap into the top 10 now. By the time Alan Carr comes round on Friday, I can see this being low top 30. It's not boding well for the album at all. Might we see a bit of an Alexandra Burke situation? Christ, I bloody well hope not.

Yeah, I thought it was funny on her VT earlier when it said "Global Superstar". I mean, she had ONE massive single (Bleeding Love) from one massive album and Better In Time was a moderate worldwide hit. That's fantastic, of course, and hats off to her, but Forgive Me was a big underperformance so they moved on to Run which was big in the UK, then I Will Be flopped in the US, then Happy underperformed worldwide, then I Got You flopped, then Echo underperformed, then Collide underperformed and now Trouble is underperforming, too. She's pretty much became a bit of a joke now because she's wheeled out on X-Factor every single year to sing a ballad and then dissapears for the rest of the year.

Her label messed up her career, and it's pretty sad because I still think she's pretty talented (although not as amazing as everyone makes her out to be, she sounded pretty strained on the verses tonight) and she makes pretty good music, but something NEEDS to change. She can't afford two underperforming albums in a row.

Collide is practically her Elephant, and Trouble looks like it was going to be her Let It Go (before the XF performance)....is this album going to be her Heartbreak on Hold?

I doubt it will do nearly as badly as that. The pre-orders are very high seeing as it has been pushed back for a year, I read somewhere it is one of the most pre-ordered albums of the year, although seeing as it has been up for pre-order all year I am not surprised. I can see it at least doing 60-70k in the first week and around 200k overall, which is massively under-performing seeing as her first album was absolutely massive and even Echo managed 600k, but certainly not HOH level of flopage.

Leona was in a difficult situation with Forgive Me, because she was getting criticism at that point for being a one-trick pony, or for all her songs being "boring" or whatever. But at the same time, the people that actually liked her, most of them probably didn't particularly want a song like that from her. Also the fact that the song sounded like Gwen Stefani who had been played to DEATH for the 12 months before, probably didn't help. The song made the year-end top 100 though, I think, so that was pretty good.

Leona's crashed iTunes :kink: Needs to update asap!

Also Leona was nominated for 2 Grammy's, I doubt any other X Factor artist will ever be considered for a Grammy. She is a Global Superstar, she's known worldwide and has sold millions so wether it was a few years ago or now she's still a global superstar.

LOL at anyone pretending Leona's career at this point is anything more than a flop. I think her album will also do quite terribly and I think it has absolutely no chance of debuting at the top, even with the 1 year worth of preorders. And also, it's not her label's fault: they promoted her quite OK. It's just that the public got tired of her and her shtick. She did nothing wrong, she has a nice voice and her songs are good but she doesn't have a market and the novelty wore off. Simple as that.

I still wouldn't class #13 on iTunes as a 'flop'. Remember that a lot of people will be holding out for the album release instead, I know I certainly would be had I been waiting these past two years for its release. I also think a lot of people will download following the X Factor performance in the morning/evening (i.e. when they get a chance).

Regardless, I still reckon it'll debut somewhere inside the top 10. Wonder if Ne-Yo can re-enter the top 10 too?

I think you're underplaying her success somewhat.

Better In Time made number 11 in the states, and sold 1.5 million copies. It easily sold over 2 million worldwide. Forgive Me made the top 5 here, and the year end top 100 so I wouldn't consider it a big underperformance at all. I Will Be and Happy both made Billboard top 100, despite the former having no promo, and Happy did sell half a million in the states and over 200k here.

Echo, while not as big as Spirit, sill sold over 600k copies. There are artists who would sell their right leg to sell that amount on a second album here, so I'd imagine she was pretty pleased with that. And both Collide and I Got You have sold upwards of 150k each, so haven't been complete write offs.

Also, she frequently gets paid to perform at private events all over the world. So, yes Trouble's performance so far is really underwhelming, but I think she deserves the praise she receives about her worldwide success.

Trouble has NOTHING on Let it Go imo.

Unless you're talking about the Devlin or Keyshia Cole songs, I DISAGREE. Although Alexandra's was much more successful in the UK than the other two, so...

I'm not fussed over a lot of Leona's discography, but I think Trouble is pretty good, I hope it doesn't free-fall and can manage top 20 this week.

Guys Trouble is #13 because iTunes hasnt actually updated for a good few hours...let's see where Ne-Yo and Leona are when it updates i'm sure both will be in the top 10.
Combined Leona is at No.11 :)

Hopefully (for Leona, not for Ne-Yo ).

It updated just a little while ago on Kworb. She has closed in another 2% on number 10, but both Connor Maynard and Ne-Yo have moved up a bit too. I can't see her going higher than 13 to be honest.
