Good album - Rubbish start in term of sales on iTunes! Now #5 and #12 ten hours after release.

I'm sure Glassheart will be number 1 as there is no competition from other new releases this week. Doubt her sales will be that high though.

There are two EPs and one compilation above it, so technically it's at #2 in terms of the album chart.

But if you look on Amazon, the deluxe is #46 and the standard is #45, so not very good. She will need really good in store sales, to secure a #1 album. On Play.com, the deluxe is at #59 but the standards at a better #5.

If she can't sell 40k+ then there are certainly worrying times ahead for Leona. Echo sold over 100k first week but bombed once X Factor was finished and she had better radio support then.

Jake Bugg is released this week - he was alot higher than Leona on pre-orders - I wopuld guess he is their main competition

I think Tesco and Sainsbury's will prop Leona's album sales up although i would not be shocked if Jake Bugg beats her as the highest new entry this week - Leona could have put herself out there a bit more and promoted the album - No TV/Radio apperances, No album signings...

She has an album signing today (best to do that once the album is released, lol)... and she did a radio tour / was also on R1 chart show yesterday... i think she also has TV lined up.... at least the This Morning type promo! :-D i think she can do it... just hoping for healthy sales too :)

 

Leona will certainly be No.1 on Sunday. In my view, she is the

best talent to ever come from 'The X Factor'.

 

'Sugar', on ther Deluxe Edition of 'Glassheart', is the best thing

that I've heard from her in a long time.

Surprised that Jake Bugg is number one – not only because I though Leona would get there, but because the only promotion I’ve seen is on YouTube! Although I really like his style of music so I’m glad it’s him that is ahead of Leona instead of someone else. Looks like Bat for Lashes will be the third new entry to the Top 10.

There has been alot of anticipation for his album though - He has been building the hype nicely with key live shows and buzz tracks, He was always going to appeal to the album buyers, Fantastic start for him though if he does get to #1 beating Leona and having only spent 1 week in the Top 75 with his biggest hit to date 'Two Fingers' a number #66 smash!

Definitely deserves the number one then! :D I'll have to listen to his album as like I say, he has a very interesting genre of music.

I've said it many times before: Leona Lewis is irrlevant to the general public as of 2012. Not only she'll not debut at #1, she'll probably sell less than Ellie Goulding did this week.

Leona's doing very well so far. Taking out the EPs, she currently 2 and 5 on the iTunes albums chart, which is very good. She's also number 1 on Amazon and top 5 with Play.com and HMV.

 

I'm fairly confident she'll open at number 1. Fingers crossed, as it's an excellent album. It would be nice to see her get a third album number 1.
