I guess you could say the same about albums (unless they come with some bonus content).

I've never pre-ordered an album :P Though from what I have read a lot of people get the album on Saturday 2 days before the Monday release. Some albums aren't stocked in Asda ect so getting hold of them can be tricky. But still I'd still order an album like a few days before it was released or release week if that is the case, never a digital EP though.

I'll never understand people who pre-order EPs it isn't like it is going to sell out.

Neither do I, but I've actually preordered "Something New" (which is the first time I've ever done so on iTunes) for the exclusive preorder only Megamix :)

The same reason iv pre-ordered EPs - Really can't see the point if there is no incentive to do so, As somebody said earlier its not like iTunes are going to sell out

Brilliant boost for Of Monsters and Men thanks to Graham Norton! Hope to see it in the Top 30 this Sunday. Would be nice to see Jessie Ware make a return to the Top 40 next week if not this week.

Shocked at how well Frankie is doing on pre-orders - Had no idea there was that much interest in him!

I know, but it's just that it is *still* climbing (it was #4 earlier, and I thought it may have fallen a tad since then.)

Does anybody know how the album chart works? Are pre-orders added to total when the album is actually released, which would explain Kylie's boost to no 1.

Yeah, I would have thought so.

Skyfall OST: #06 on HMV

Kylie Minogue: #08 on HMV, #25 on play.com

Madness: #11 on HMV, #42 on play.com

3 contenders for number one - Kylie, Calvin and Taylor. I could see Kylie entering at #3, but that is higher than I thought it would be! New entries to the Top 10 by Madness and Matt Cardle.

Calvin up to #3 and #6. Regardless of Kylie's iTunes success I can't see the #1 being anyone other than Calvin or, if his sales underwhelm, Taylor again. Kylie should probably go top 10 and maybe top 5 though :o Madness should be top 10 easily and also probably challenging for the top 5, will be interesting to see how Matt does though - his album is doing better than I expected on iTunes.

HA at Peter Andre flopping, didn't even know he had an album out - his last three albums have all gone top 10, this should end that streak easily :D
