Posted October 20, 201212 yr http://discorex.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/blue-hurt-lovers-2012-lq.png LUt4aPXV9rI They're back! First single off their first studio album in nearly 10 years (which will be released in 2013) - Bruno Mars, RedOne and Ray Ruffin (who did a lot of their earlier stuff like 'If You Come Back') have all apparently worked with them. I liked the Blue lads back in the day, they turned in some solid gold boyband classics, and this is a really strong progression in sound for them. Duncan's voice in particular has improved a lot! October 20, 201212 yr Love the song but i fear for the success of the comeback - They released 'I Can' on their own label and had the hype of Eurovision to get the exposure they needed to get it into the charts however i wonder if the media/radio etc, will be interested in them now especially with the fact they flopped at ESC which has a massive stigma in the UK!
November 5, 201212 yr Author They've just confirmed today on Twitter that the new album is called 'Roulette' - release date still unconfirmed but will be early next year!
March 25, 201312 yr The new music video of 'Hurt Lovers' for the UK release has been uploaded to Blue's VEVO account. I've just heard watched it and the song is very good, I hope that this can become a success when released next month! MNtiSW5MlAw
March 26, 201312 yr Finally, a UK release of the album which has been out in Germany for 2 months by the time we get our hands on it!
March 27, 201312 yr It's a very good track! I'd say it's one of my favourites from them already, tbh. Really nice song. Although, what's happened to Simon's voice? Why is it so "rough" now? Not that it's a bad thing (it adds to the song), it's just strange as his voice was smoother and more soulful than that from what I can remember!
March 27, 201312 yr How has it done in the charts? I didn't even know they released an album this year until I watched them on the Big Reunion thing. I don't get why they can't be big again like Take That, maybe the material isn't good enough? They look properly HOT (and hotter than they used to be), they're good singers, and they can perform live. I find Lee SO attractive, he looks like a dickhead, but I can't help. HOTTTT. Anyway, is the album any good? Is it worth I give it a listen? Edited March 27, 201312 yr by Hayzayy
March 27, 201312 yr Anyway, is the album any good? Is it worth I give it a listen? All in all, I like the album, but I honestly don't see they could have a huge comeback with it. They do have great songs similar to Hurt Lovers like Without You, Broken, I Will and Black Box, but I think in some of the songs, they went to that generic pop/dance crap songs that are popular these days, the lyrics are lame and the melody is annoying - the songs like Paradise, We've Got Tonight, Dance For Me, You Break My Heart and I absolutely HATE that the song Heart On My Sleeve is completely autotuned. Besides the songs I mentioned, I also like Ayo, Break You Down and especially All I Need because of nice harmonies, however I noticed a little auto-tune here as well. I find that completely unnecessary as I think they all have great vocals - so, why stoop to that level? In general, they definitely used too much auto-tune which I find completely unnecessary – this is the only thing I resent them for. Edited March 27, 201312 yr by zeze88
March 27, 201312 yr I liked Blue back in the day, but having just listened to a live performance in Moscow of the new single on youtube, what has happened to their vocals. Edited March 27, 201312 yr by truly talented
