Hoping my Boxset will be delivered in the morning, excited!

Only just got round to listening to this, but (I hate doing the whole comparison thing) can anyone else hear a bit of The Sats 'All Fired Up' in 'On the Metro', or am I the only person? :lol: It's so good though. I was fully expecting it to be like 'Something New' (Part II) because people were raving about it so much, but I'm happy that it actually, somewhat lived up to the hype! :D

The chorus of Something New is seriously their best thing bar Sound of the Underground. If only the rest of the song was as strong.

 

Is it me or there's indeed a bit more Nicola on tracks now than before? She's the only thing why I am excited about this group so I'm not complaining.

My boxset arrived today...it's the poshest deluxe edition of an album I've ever owned, I feel like I need to handle it with white gloves or something! £35 well spent :)

I don't hear it at all. If I hear any other girlband's song in it it has to be 'Left My Heart In Tokyo', I can hear some real similarities to that.

I'm sure the girls and their record label expected more in terms of public reaction and single/album sales. I know I did. I agree with Conderella about the chorus of 'Something New' being every bit of epic though the rest of the song seems to be sort of drowning in it's production. Shame.

I agree. I didn't like the sound of either song from the previews but they have exceeded my expectations, especially OTM. This has to be a single!!

You can sing "All fired up, I feel alive" over "I left my heart at the disco", "Now im crying on the metro" but overall, it's not that similar.

I should have had my box set by now. :cry: Damn them, overselling it... :P

Its at 2+1 in the you know what's at the moment behind Olly and 1D.

19,000 sales so far and sitting at number 2+1, im relieved at this news as i had feared it would miss the top 10.My original thought was low top 10 at the best so it has so far outdone all my expectations. I would be more than delighted with 50,000 total sales for this week.

Very pleased with the result so far, I just hope it can benefit from the bumper Christmas sales in the coming weeks.

 

On another note, even though it's unlikely we'll get a third single I can just picture a perfect video for On The Metro set... on a metro. Original I know. :wub:

It would be ideal if they can stick around in the high end of the chart and truly benefit from bumper sales, that is its best chance of keeping their platinum record going.

Midweeks. Because it was a Tuesday midweek rather than a Wednesday one, I felt I had to be a little vague just in case.

The girls will be on Daybreak this Friday! It's another pre-recorded interview (so no performance :(), but it's still good(ish) promo! I hope Ten can stay top five at worst.

Shame they dont perform on this morning as it would add some single sales. Hopefully ten waits top 5 but at least it will make a top 10 debut which is fine as i think they will sell 50,000 this week which is a good start.

I'm gonna get the DVD edition and the standard edition after Christmas...just so I can keep the boxset in reasonable nick!

The album makes a number 17 debut in Ireland this week.
