Posted October 31, 201213 yr Theme: Number ones Guest performers: Rita Ora and No Doubt Discuss which latest Irish and German #1s are going to be covered this week :mansoncheer:
October 31, 201213 yr Like Martin said, Lucy will be doing Foundations. However, I'm SOOO looking forward to watching No Doubt perform! Edited October 31, 201213 yr by liamk97
October 31, 201213 yr I did some suggestions the other day on DS, I just went off UK and US number 1s, except for one of Ella's Ella - Everytime by Britney Spears or I'd love her to do Euphoria by Loreen as a PROPER uptempo! Lucy - I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker by Sandi Thom or That's Not My Name by Ting Tings Jahmene - he'll just oversing something by Whitney Houston or Leona Lewis etc. Rylan - as he's doing a ballad, a slowed down version of Born This Way James - Maria by Blondie Kye - Hall Of Fame by The Script Christopher - You'll Never Walk Alone (let's face it he's blatantly doing it) Dunno about the groups. Foundations didn't get #1 anywhere looking at Wikipedia :P Although the way they bend themes it'll probably be 'IT WAS #1 IN MY PERSONAL CHART FOR 7 WEEKS!' Edited October 31, 201213 yr by Liаm
October 31, 201213 yr Like Martin said, Lucy will be doing Foundations. The most unjust #1 miss EVAH.
October 31, 201213 yr James - Maria by Blondie Please don't let him ruin one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite bands! I admit he is getting better, but not good enough for Blondie!
October 31, 201213 yr Union J actually have a manager from before the show that still refers to them as "my group" or "my boys" on twitter Surely they'll be signed up with a management company now? I doubt The X Factor would have allowed them to continue on the show with a manager But at the same time he did put them together, so deserves some sort of involvement
October 31, 201213 yr I think that this series was the first series they let acts who already had a management company enter. I know Carolynne had management when she entered this time round. But with Union J being given another member, I don't know what effect that will have on who manages them - their original manager or the X Factor's management company.
October 31, 201213 yr What are the chances of one of the contestants singing 'Don't Speak' by No Doubt? :D
October 31, 201213 yr What are the chances of one of the contestants singing 'Don't Speak' by No Doubt? :D If someone does, I can imagine them ruining it, especially the bits near to the end.
October 31, 201213 yr Ella could probably pull off Don't Speak, no-one else tbh. I could totally imagine one of the boybands crucifying it though, and oh god imagine Jahmene screaming his way through it. NO my Birthday #1 and one of my favourite songs of all time needs to stay intact :(
October 31, 201213 yr If Ella performs 'Don't Speak' I am officially DISOWNING her. 'Bring Me To Life' was bad enough  Awful guest performers this week. No Doubt might have an alright song ('Settle Down' is quite good, don't know what they're performing though) but they're completely irrelevant outside their remaining loonbase, while 'Shine Ya Light' is just awful. November 1, 201213 yr Agree with Bre. Nothing No Doubt can do apart from Don't speak unfortunately. Where the f*** is Misha b!?!??!?!?!
November 1, 201213 yr Lucy could have walked :o There's a thread on DS and apparently betting on her was suspended or something. She also hasn't tweeted in days!
November 1, 201213 yr She also hasn't tweeted in days! Probably because she spends too much time partying or getting over a hangover! :P
November 1, 201213 yr It sounds as if she hasn't quit, but will be kicked off for still being ill? Apparently she hasn't been to any rehearsals this week, so I very much doubt she'll pull it off in two days.
November 1, 201213 yr Good riddance i say. Once we heard her first audition, it's been exactly the same since! Wonder if they'll brinng someone back or just not have a double elimination. BRING BACK JADE!!
November 1, 201213 yr I'd LOVE them to bring back Jade, but people will probably moan that it's 'unfair' (it's technically not too unfair, if it was a vote to eliminate then fair enough but nobody voted to get Jade out, just not enough people voted to get her through again). It's way more unfair letting someone skip 4 weeks and then come back in, whereas Jade wouldn't have missed any. Except it's probably too late in the week to have her (or anyone) back, potentially only a day to rehearse... Although the fairest thing would be just to not have a double elimination, I just want Jade back  I just read again that Lucy is recovering, but she was only just well enough to leave the hotel for a walk, so she won't be well enough for Saturday. As she obviously can't have another bye to next week, she'll have to go tbh.
November 1, 201213 yr Oh dear. If Luck is kicked off then this series is heading the same way as last years 10 week car crash. If someone is brought back, will ITV demand it goes to a public vote to try and get even more revenue than usual? :D
November 1, 201213 yr TBH there might not even be a double elimination, they could just have 4 in the final like they did in 1D's year. But TBH I won't miss Lucy if she goes...
November 1, 201213 yr Oh dear. If Luck is kicked off then this series is heading the same way as last years 10 week car crash. If someone is brought back, will ITV demand it goes to a public vote to try and get even more revenue than usual? :D It's worse than last year already due to (believe it or not) much poorer contestants. You just know the charity single has been scrapped because no one left could carry it (bar Ella) and it'd look odd giving loads of parts to Melanie, Carolynne and Jade since they're all gone. Plus what would one trick ponies Lucy or MK1 contribute? Problem this year is that the show is so desperate for scandals and headlines, yet it's not working because we can see through the whole thing.
