That new Girls Aloud song got severely raped on Children In Need. They will probably get to #1 on iTunes first before The X Factor results show starts and Olly Murs peforms.

I missed the show, what did Kylie sing?

She sang:

The Locomotion

Can't Get You Out Of My Head

I should Be So Lucky

Signs aren't looking good for Little Mix. Down to No. 7 already with a single that is from an unreleased album, X Factor performance and is actually fairly good.
Who's going to be Top 5 tomorrow then?

Well it's a genuinely amazing song that isn't by Rihanna/Gaga/Katy/Nicki etc. so it already had a chart disadvanttage

Well, once when it was performed it got it back in the top 75 I think, even though it was the Keri Hilson (what a legend ) remix that was performed. So if the original ever gets performed (which I DOUBT, it's a bit messy to say the least), then you never know.

Also, did DNA ever get #1 on iTunes?

No, Bruno beat them to the top, then One Direction overtook Bruno. I would've loved to have seen Little Mix at #1, DNA is D-N-Amazing :yahoo:

Thanks. Yeah, it's a very good song, I would've liked it to get #1 on iTunes aswell.

In Da Club up to #97!! :cheer:

I'm really confused at the "DNA" flopping right now, it's such an amazing song.

Perhaps the song is just too good for the UK public to appreciate. Now had they released a cover of some old ballad, the UK would probably be lapping it up.

One Direction just had the better marketing campaign. After 'LWWY' missed out, I'm sure Simon Cowell was determind to get them to no. 1 like he did with Leona Lewis 'Run' (although Leona's cover was very good imo). Iirc, 'Run' was released about 6/7 weeks after 'Forgive Me' failed to go to no. 1, and 'LWWY' was released about 6/7 weeks ago. It's clearly a marketing tactic that works.

DNA isn't flopping, it's doing fine. I agree it's a good song, but how good the song is is pretty irrelevent, as there's dozens of amazing songs out there missing the top 40 every week. It's more about how much radio airpay, MTV airplay, TV interviews, etc. the song gets. DNA has got quite a decent amount of all that, which is why it's in the top 10 this week, and isn't missing the top 40 like all those other amazing songs out there.

If Simon Cowell was desperate for a #1, I think he might've at least had the song released on a Sunday!

I agree with what you say in general though. It's more about promotion than about how good the song is.

I think DNA would do better in the US (just based off the fact of how big E.T. was there, and also it would do well in airplay, because of its instrumental).

984. Huey Lewis & The News/ The Power of Love

This is not a Xmas track, completely different from the other versions, its taken from the Back To The Future (Part 1) soundtrack album

549. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Wanz - Thrift Shop

It's almost top 500!!! :w00t:

And Ludacris up to #48. This song is extremely desperate, and it doesn't even sound good either.
