Yayyy. I am more than happy with #2 for my girls! Just pleased that they have finally got there.

It will interesting to see what happens this evening. Girls Aloud could momentarily push ahead thanks to Strictly, but Olly could snatch #1 back not long later thanks to XF.

 

Both will definitely to 100k+ this week, they've had fantastic times to climb up to the top of the iTunes chart today.

Hi. I don't think our paths have ever crossed before, but I've been here for almost 5 years (!!! - LORDY ME!) and I don't post anything (unless I state) unless it's on topic. Could you re-read the posts that I was replying to (and the ones they were replying to, too) and you will see I was never off topic.

Anyway "on topic"; Little Mix down to the bottom end of the top 10 already is not a shock (I think the album version will hold it up better tomorrow) I want to know why radio hasn't been all over it like they should have been though? :(

I honestly don't think Strictly Come Dancing will do much for Girls Aloud, but I still think the will have great sales as well. #2 is still brilliant for them but I think Olly will definetly have the #1. :)

I don't think it's quite as radio friendly and Wings wasn't that high in Airplay when it was released so I think they just seemed to play that, but their are lots of radio friendly tracks on their album so I think their next single should do quite well. Just for comparison, in Ireland "DNA" is at #23 and album version at #51, and Change Your Life is at #169 so it could go Top 200. :)

It really doesn't sound too dissimilar to something Katy Perry would want to release, so I don't get why they're ignoring it as much as they have been. I still think it'll sell over 250k eventually though.

This is what I meant yesterday when I was saying I think DNA would've been a bigger hit in the US than here. E.T. is Katy's biggest airplay hit there, but probably one of her smaller ones here (I can't remember exactly where it charted on airplay here though, so maybe I'm wrong). E.T. also got ignored by Heart FM, whilst they played most of her other songs.

 

Also, I'd say DNA doesn't sound like a Katy Perry song. I know it sounds like E.T., but E.T. itself sounds very out of place in Katy's discography. E.T. sounds like something you'd expect from Kanye West or Ciara or Three 6 Mafia imo.
