Is ANYONE excited about this edition - or its accompanying results? :nocheer: :(

I am! I still have plenty of tracks I'm gunning for despite being a bit disappointed.

 

I went buzzband crazy this edition, so I almost think a top 5 wouldn't be deserved as it's simply a random track from a random indie band that got some moderate blog hype rather than anything special (Arthur Russell) / different (High Places) / weird (Gang Gang Dance) / extraordinarily good (Pictureplane) / super unknown (Autre Ne Veut at the time). Nevertheless I think I'll do well and getting a 4th top 10 would be lovely.

Oh sorry Eyes, my lack of xitemente was not relating to the quality but rather my just not having the TIME. I'm obviously tres excited for the results, though I'm expecting another midtable finish.

I have no idea where my song will end. It could be on top but also be the last.

I suspect I'll flop but I'd HOPE I'm not in the predicament of being the only person to not get any double-digit scores again.

 

There were less AWFUL songs than the last edition here but there was quite a lot of average.

As much as I would want to have a NEGATIVE score I managed to vote in time. A lot of MEH songs I didn't really want to vote for but one song is SO much ahead of everything else it's unreal.

Wow, that was close! I managed to vote on time in the end, although I cannot say I was ecstatic about everyone's entries this time around. I usually like most of the music in this contest, but there was something oddly uninteresting overall now. My 20-pointer was a song I was thinking about entering myself, and I didn't discover that many in which I'll be continuing to listen to from here on out, but there were some and I do hope they do well! ^_^

Would like to beat my personal best of 5th but in all honesty my entry could finish anywhere inside the top 29. I'm surprised everyone found it that disappointing. Sure there were tracks that just didn't appeal to me whatsoever but I'm sure these songs are more likely to do well than the songs I liked (ie; the songs I enjoyed the most actually had a tune to it and wasn't just noises for 3/4 minutes) but one man's paradise...

For some reason I thought Light Asylum 'A Certain Person' was your entry but reading this now makes me think otherwise.

There's nothing truly awful - I'm not counting Hegerega Song because that's hilarious.
