The album cover is f***ing horrible. She doesn't look 'Alive' at all, rather quite the opposite, it's like a literal representation of the :huh: emoticon / stoned.

The tracklisting is horrid too. She speaks so heavily about artistry / concept yet she's got a 16 year old girl featuring on a track that just so happens to be producer-of-said-track Dr. Luke's protege. I find it all a bit weird. Then a Brandy song shortly follows. I don't see how it's going to marry well?

No, that tracklist was fake.

I think possibly the most irritating thing about Jessie J (and there are many irritating things) is the way she has a background in songwriting but all of her lyrics are so utterly beige. I mean none of her songs have any real message beyond the basic and the generic. Love yourself. Tonight we party. I'm bad ass, haters back off, etc etc. She doesn't even find an inventive on these heavily exhausted themes. It feels like she's making music out of obligation and not because she gets any enjoyment out of it. Very mechanical.

She has longer hair now tho, judging by her X-Factor Australia performance. She still looks horrendous, even the bob was better

Sexy Lady sounds really good!

'Sexy Lady' is a less hard hitting, but just as effective version of 'It's My Party'. I'm liking that a lot more than I did IMP on first listen (I know it's only a clip, but 1m30s is enough to do a judgement like that :lol:

 

Overall though, I'm really liking the sound of the album! Can't believe I was in doubt of her tbh. Can't wait to hear it all in full!

The album sounds really good I really like a couple of the songs already sounding much better than her Debut Album ! :)
