Its a really good song, better than ACH for me - and its longevity in the chart is brillant, thought her comeback would flop hard!!

Has thre been no rnb song top 10 in the us in 18 months? Cant believe Alicia flopped with her last album there - where did her version of Empire State of Mind reach?

Not sure how the itunes positions effect their billboard fix chart but 50 cent and will.i.am doing very well!!

Yeah, Down On Me, What's My Name? and Forget You were all in the top 10 early 2011, and then since there there's not been a single R&B song make top 10 in the US.

I think there have been though. I'm pretty sure Someone Like You, Boyfriend, As Long as You Love Me and Too Close would be considered R&B/soul if a black person sang them tbh.

iTunes has a big effect on Billboard chart usually, but they decreased it's effect recently because they added streaming (Spotify, Rhapsody, etc.) to the chart. There's also other download sites, and radio airplay, Youtube, VEVO, Internet radio, etc. that they include. At this stage, 50 Cent and will.i.am are doing well solely on downloads, so they'll probably chart in the #11-#20 range next week.

Would like to see 50 cent and eminem doing well over here with that track and Will.i.ams track too - hopefully theyll be released in january and sneak a no1!!
Just checked the new 1 Xtra playlist Eric, seems 50 cents new one has been added to the blist so it could do well enough, no sign of the new sky;ar grey one though lol!!
Next Rihanna single is Pour it Up. Be interesting to see how it does. It doesn't sound terribly chart friendly

Is there any combination of rap collaborators that hasn't been tried now?

Are you sure - the 1 Xtra playlist has just had Stay ft Mikky Ekko added to it, although sometimes they add album tracks!!

Adam Levine is also on this track

Leona just performed Lovebird on Loose Women, hoping it'll start climbing now.
She has posted artwork for songs before that haven't been singles.

But the article says it is her new single.

Leona update:

#280. "Run"

#412. "Trouble (feat. Childish Gambino)"

#696. "Lovebird"

#1003. "Trouble"

#1385. "Bleeding Love"

The video for "Lovebird" is out tomorrow, so I hope it can really help the song out!

Thanks keep posted how Lovebird is doing. :)

Rihanna's never scared to release an urban song as a mainstream single, which is great. But Pour It Up is a bit TOO extreme. I think it's one the darkest sounding songs she's ever done, and probably the least mainstream song on her album. I think she should go with something a bit more pop-friendly like Jump or Nobodies Business.

To be honest, as long as she doesn't release Right Now, I'll be happy. I'll be pleased if her next single can at least go top 10 in the UK (i.e. out-perform You Da One).

Pour It Up is good, but it's also a rip-off of Bandz a Make Her Dance by Juicy J from Three 6 Mafia.

50 Cent and Eminem is hardly the strangest rap collaboration. They did like a million songs together already.

Yeah. When Watch the Throne was released they put like 5 of the songs on the playlist. Stay is a really nice song. It'd be big in the UK especially, since we like piano ballads here.

I wonder if they'll play will.i.am's song. I know it's got Britney on it, but I heard them play Gimme More and I'm a Slave 4 U before.

 29. Mile High - Jake Quickenden

How is this doing so well? Wasn't he given like no airtime on XF?

 42. Isn't She Lovely - Jimmy Higham & Jon Walmsley

Another charity single. Fun.

 94. Figure 8 - Ellie Goulding

 100. Playing With Fire (feat. Labrinth) - Plan B

'Playing With Fire' not completely bombing :D Would love it to be another top 40 hit but I think it'll only do about as well as 'Love Goes Down' at best.

I desperately hope Stay is released as a single, her Saturday Night Live performance brought a tear to my eye! It's really beautiful.

Jake Quickenden is really really f***ing hot! He also has a great voice, the song is a little meh, but he has over 100k followers on twitter and Ella and lightbulb head from the x factor have already tweeted people to buy it.

I really want Playing With Fire to do well! Such an amazing song!
