Cheryl is one of the biggest UK pop stars of the past 20 years, and a phenomenon at one point (2008-2009). Kelly Rowland, Tulisa, Nicole Scherzinger, etc. will NEVER even come close to replicating her chart success.

 

Cheryl wasn't successful JUST because she was on X Factor, so the other X Factor judges won't have her success just because they're on X Factor too. Cheryl's appeal was MUCH more than being on TV every weekend, and the other judges don't have that (although I do like them all).

Don't bother listening to Tulisa's album. You'll hate every single song on it.

 

I am thinking it could have an affect to be honest. I know Tulisa came through her sex tape scandal and so many other people have just used it for more publicity, but to cheat on your boyfriend 20 times in a year, I don't think people take to that too kindly - just look at the treatment of Javine. Obviously if Chris Brown can still be successful after everything, there is no doubt that in theory Rita should be but she is so early in her career and after all she is a girl.

 

If Rita Ora was a straight up pop star (I'm thinking Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha style), it would probably hurt her career a lot, but given Rita's audience it might not hurt her that bad.

I don't know really. She's really hot and seemed really nice on the X Factor I guess. The media tend to be sensationalistic about things.

 

It was at first just one newspaper that called her that, and then all these old people got so furious about it for some reason (SHE'S A BAD ROLE MODEL FOR CHILDREN BLAH BLAH BLAH), and tried their best to turn her into national hate figure instead. :lol:

 

To be honest, both points of views are very extreme, but it's easier for me to see why people would love Cheryl than why they would hate her. I can't fathom what makes people hate her, I think most people that hate her just do so because they think she doesn't deserve to be liked so much, because she was hardly hated really until after she got called Nation's Sweetheart.

There was video evidence of Tulisa though, pics or it didn't happen! Like imagine if there was a video of Cheryl belting that woman, it makes a big difference. I am surprised about how willing people are to believe this and from a Kardashian as well! Not much sisterly live from the females going on.

Media attention and sympathy I suppose. Or maybe they had a really bad break-up so he wants to try and make her hated. Not saying he's definitely lieing, but I could see why someone would make it up.

 

To be honest, if it's true, I think it could help her career a bit. It'll get her more well-known, and people will find her more "interesting" (i.e. want to know more about her). You find a lot of successful artists have that one interesting thing about them that gets people fascinated (e.g. being an overweight pop star, being shot 9 times and surviving, being a "hermaphrodite", being a white rapper, have a non-symmetrical face, and so on).

I don't hate her but I dislike her more and more the more everyone licks her ass just for making a couple of good songs, and if she did cheat on him with 20 other men that's no-one else's fault but her own (although granted Rob shouldn't be broadcasting it).

Has it not crossed your mind that he could be bitter about her finishing him etc? How would he even know she'd cheated on him with almost 20 men? Sounds like crap to me. The only episode of the Kardashians I've ever seen involved Rob being worryingly obsessive about some girl who'd finished him months earlier.
