I'm glad that Tulisa is flopping hard, she is so unlikeable and it serves her right that her latest efforts are flopping, she thought she was all that because she got to #1 with young and was the winning judge last year on X Factor, so she thought she could do a Cheryl but three things she doesn't have is 1. Likability 2. Talent 3. Stage Presence. She lacks a lot, I think her as a judge has done her more damage then good.

Implying Cheryl has all of those?

To be fair, the show has made Tulisa one of the biggest celebrities in the country, though that's not all positive!
Dannii's single that she released on the X Factor missed the top 40, and it didn't do too much harm to her X Factor career, even with Louis sniping about it on live shows

Tulisa is more hated than Dannii was, though.

Tulisa doesn't have any star quality at all. Some people are just better suited at being in a group. I do think Tulisa can sing but on her own she's lifeless on stage and doesn't have much charisma. With N-Dubz she stood out because she was a girl with two guys, so they worked as a group but even Dappy is struggling to sell records as a solo artist.

My point is that underperforming music doesn't mean the end of judging the X Factor.

And whilst Tulisa may be more hated, Dannii was a laughing stock her first year judging, some of the stories were vile. Also, we don't really know Dannii's popularity in the first year as Twitter wasn't really around, and the Daily Fail wasn't the most popular celeb website where people could spew their bile.

The difference is - Dannii never performed the track on X Factor and despite being a judge, it flew mostly under the radar. It was also her first year when that song came out - at a time when she wasn't that popular, and she had already proved her credentials in some way being on the show. Having had a varied career spanning a good 20 odd years being in the spotlight (if we count Young Talent Time in Australia).

Tulisa is really only at the beginning of her career and thats why I find it hard whenever there is a young judge, judging talent. Demi Lovato has won me round slightly for being so charismatic though.

By a handful of people on this site? I think that hardly quantifies as anything. I like Tulisa as a person, but the lyrics to this single are dire.

I haven't heard Ke$ha's new single yet, but I'm assuming it's more of the same throw-away kiddie-pop that she generally releases, so it's probably a good thing!

It's far worse than that.

Not just by this site, you can search Tulisa's name on Twitter, and 95% of the tweets are going to be negative. :(

I think an N-Dubz reuinion will probably be happening next year.

I think Tulisa needs to get back with N-Dubz (for my sake mainly), but also for herself. She doesn't seem to be enjoying this year on the show, and as much as i love her, she's a shell of her former self. It's incredible that she got to release a solo album, and it was always going to be a love/hate kind of record, so i'm glad i LOVE it.

N-Dubz need to return next year with a bang! :kink:

Tulisa's first year went too well on the show for her, she seemed popular plus had the winning act. Dannii started less popular and built up a fan base and ended up loved. Tulisa has acted like a spoiled brat this year and as a result her popularity has decreased. Had Tulisa released her album last year i think it would have done better as she appeared to be much more popular. As a celebrity i can take or leave her but her latest single does absolutely nothing for me, when she performed it on the show i thought the song just went nowhere and in the end i couldnt wait for it to end. Based on the song it deserves to not do well.

Kiss You : One Direction already number 35 in the midweek tracking. If this is what they perform on the X Factor final it could very well be in the Top 10 next week like a bolt of lightning.

I do hope Girls Aloud can hold their top 30 position but with the rate it is dropping it will realistically end up around number 35 by close of week.

Girls Aloud - Ten is currently 18.

That 9 place drop isn't as bad as I was expecting. Phew.

Last weeks 18 sold 27,881 copies. That would be a solid drop.

Top 40 Singles

Gabrielle Aplin's cover of The Power Of Love could be heading to No 1 this weekend following a version by X Factor contestant James Arthur and continuing exposure in a John Lewis ad.

Top of the chart exactly 28 years ago this week for Frankie Goes To Hollywood, the song has moved 6-1 in the latest midweeks with a lead of around 3,500 sales, according to the Official Charts Company. If it is at No 1 by the time the end-of-week chart is published on Sunday it will be the first chart-topper for the Parlophone Label Group after the rest of EMI was taken over by Universal.

The Power Of Love was covered by X Factor finalist James Arthur on last Saturday's show, prompting judge Gary Barlow to describe it as the performance of the series, and this appears to be the main trigger for sales of the Aplin version lifting by 53% week on week and sending the Frankie original - now on the Salvo label via Union Square - rising 59-33. Her cover is also the soundbed to John Lewis's TV Christmas campaign.

Just behind Aplin is Olly Murs whose Epic single Troublemaker featuring Flo Rida secured a second week at No 1 last Sunday. As with the albums market, there are no brand new entries among the Top 10 singles sellers at this stage of the week. Below Gabrielle Aplin and Olly Murs, Atlantic act Bruno Mars' Locked Out Of Heaven drops 2-3, Labrinth's Beneath Your Beautiful featuring Emeli Sande holds at 4 and fellow Syco release Little Things by One Direction climbs 9-5. Rihanna's Def Jam/Mercury single Diamonds drops 3-6, while below Pink Kesha's Kemosabe/RCA single Die Young rises 10-8 following her performance on Graham Norton's BBC One show last Friday. The Top 10 sellers at this point in the week are completed by RCA act Alicia Keys' Girl On Fire dropping 5-9 and Robbie Williams' Island single Candy falling 7-10.

Universal's revived London Records label under Nick Raphael and Jo Charrington is heading for a first big hit with Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull featuring Jr new at 15 on the midweeks, while Island act Angel arrives at 34 with Time After Time.

Top 40 Albums

While he has his work cut out topping the singles chart for another week, Murs looks more likely to continue to lead the artist albums chart with Right Place Right Time presently 8,000 sales in front. It heads a market in which no brand new album has managed to penetrate the Top 10 sellers with the highest arrival at 16 Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra's Rhino-issued The Golden Age Of Song. It is six places higher than The Female Boss, the newly-issued debut solo album from AATW/Island's Tulisa who had the benefit of an X Factor performance last Sunday. The track she performed, Sight Of You, currently registers as a new entry at 12 on the midweek singles chart.

RCA's Pink also performed on the same show as Tulisa but is benefiting more with sales of her album The Truth About Love rising 195% on the week to lift it 28-9 in the midweeks as I Try, which she performed, improves 26-7 on the singles listings. Completing the show's star line-up was Rod Stewart who sees sales of his Verve/Decca album Merry Christmas, Baby rising 38% on the week and moving 5-4 on Sales Flashes. However, Michael Buble's Reprise/Warner Bros-issued Christmas continues to be the biggest festive seller with its own sales up 65% to climb 4-2 as Syco act One Direction's Take Me Home drops 2-3, Def Jam/Mercury's Rihanna falls 3-5 with Unapologetic and Virgin act Emeli Sande's Our Version Of Events lifts 7-6. Sande's album swaps places with Robbie Williams' Island set Take The Crown, which drops 6-7, while Columbia's The Very Best Of by Neil Diamond holds at 8 and Decca's Alfie Boe moves back into the Top 10 sellers, climbing 14-10 with Storyteller with sales up 42%.

Besides Jools Holland and Tulisa, other new albums set to chart this Sunday include a self-titled album from Relentless's Only Boys Aloud and the Reprise-issued Bee Gees overview Mythology.

Great to see Gabrielle at #1 :D

I guess being on EVERY TalkTalk ad has really helped 1D out, Kiss You will be massive next year I can tell :manson:

Hopefully that Tulisa song leaves the chart as fast as Live It Up did. -_-

Girls Aloud - Ten is currently 18.

That 9 place drop isn't as bad as I was expecting. Phew.

Last weeks 18 sold 27,881 copies. That would be a solid drop.

Given this time last week it was #4 in the update and fell to #9, now 3 days later it is down another 9 places it stands little chance of being top 20 still come Sunday. Probably around #25.

Oh are we not taking into account fan rush in the first week?
