December 5, 201213 yr Haha yeah I suppose so! Sick of Buble taking over December though, one time was enough for a covers album! Buble has alot to answer for - Andre Rieu, Rod Stewart, Steps, John Travolta and Katherine Jenkins have released Xmas albums this year im sure due to the success he had and i fear we will see alot more of it in the future
December 5, 201213 yr I'm not even surprised at Ke$ha. Die Young is so much more anonymous than anything she's previously released, not to mention it only just started getting airplay. And Animal didn't sell all that much, she was always in danger of being lost in the Christmas rush. It's sad but eh. If she decides to release a song with some semblance of personality again maybe things will pick up.
December 5, 201213 yr I fear HMV are letting her down.... get her in the promotions etc..... Would not surprise me if she joined the '2 For £15' promotion in HMV next week due to the increased exposure due to XF

About 34 years too late for this aren't they?
December 5, 201213 yr Am I correct in thinking Michael Buble's album is just the same album? How many tracks are added to the repackage? It's a real shame about Kesha not even being the top 40 - I was expecting a debut of around #23.

It would be a lot better if they released new Christmas songs, but no one writes them any more.
December 5, 201213 yr everyone get downloading Kylie's Santa Baby! its up to 79 on itunes... would love it to somehow get a week back inside the top 75!!!

It's a real shame about Kesha not even being the top 40 - I was expecting a debut of around #23. They have added 3 new tracks and people are falling over themselves to buy it like its a new release!
December 5, 201213 yr John Travolta isn't he releasing that with Olivia Newton-John? About 34 years too late for this aren't they? Yes - Its clearly not going to trouble the charts and on a side note the one Christmas album that i hoped would do well was Lady Antebellum but they only managed 1 week in the Top 75
December 5, 201213 yr Could they not just have forgotton Kesha? Who the OCC or the general public? :kink:
December 5, 201213 yr Depressing really. It would be a lot better if they released new Christmas songs, but no one writes them any more. I 'd seriously love a Spice Girls Xmas album. 6 classic Xmas tracks given the Spice treatment and 6 original camp songs that will become classics over the years. It would be so camp and pop and 90's. Perfect
December 5, 201213 yr Who the OCC or the general public? :kink: Well... either one or the other :kink: Because if it's really not top 40 then... Edited December 5, 201213 yr by Fruity
December 5, 201213 yr Author Who the OCC or the general public? :kink: OCC probably forgot to add it, it does happen sometimes, by the end of the week its added and it has the position of #23 (for example)
December 5, 201213 yr tulisa won't be in the top 30 and i wonder if they will mention this on the x factor .. haha
December 5, 201213 yr tulisa won't be in the top 30 and i wonder if they will mention this on the x factor .. haha "Congratulations on your top 40 album" doesn't quite have the same ring to it as when everyone congratulated Olly on his #1 - I would be very happy if someone was to ring in on Xtra Factor and do this though :P
December 5, 201213 yr "Congratulations on your top 40 album" doesn't quite have the same ring to it as when everyone congratulated Olly on his #1 - I would be very happy if someone was to ring in on Xtra Factor and do this though :P Tulisa will probably use her catchphrase "peak positions are irrelevant, it's overall sales that count" again. :P
December 5, 201213 yr I do feel bad for Tulisa because it's very embarrassing for her. She's already had enough humiliation with the sex tape thing, 'Live It Up' flopping and the "fag ash" incident plus the fact she's becoming very disliked on X-Factor and now her latest single/album are bombing after a poor performance on the show she judges. I don't really like her but it's a bit uncomfortable to witness. I know she was out of order to Misha B and is a bitch to Christopher Maloney but i'd HATE to be her this week. She's pretty much a laughing stock. And as for Ke$ha, it's a bit shocking that such a popular artist will miss the top 40 with an album but I suppose that's what happens when you mess up your release and release in December with no promo.
