December 9, 201212 yr http://xfactor.itv.com/2012/articles/x-fac...item_100282.htm Full votes, turns out Chris was only 0.6% away from going out in the semis. So close to having Union J in the final  Baloney was stealing wigs left right and centre :drama:
December 9, 201212 yr Wow, can't believe Chris and Jahmene were top 2 practically all the way through :o And I really though James would've been top 3 with Sexy And I Know It. Surprised Ella came no higher than 3rd and gradually slipped too, she was dangerously close to bottom 2 some weeks too :o
December 9, 201212 yr The series ended on the most pathetic high ever - James was horrific, but in comparison to Jahmene he was incredible. Surely the only way is up for X Factor next year, it can't be worse... Edited December 9, 201212 yr by Bré
December 9, 201212 yr I want them to not make the show so BIG next year. Like have the auditions back in the small rooms as opposed to the big arenas. I always prefered it like that, but they'll just see it as a step back. Also NU judges. Nicole can stay, and Louis will HAVE to be there, but Simon back and another new fresh face would be good.
December 10, 201212 yr Well I highly doubt Gary will be there next year. Tulisa could go either way. They'll obviously want Nicole back but whether she agrees to do it is a different story. Louis will hopefully be back. What can they do to boost ratings? Well imo the judging panel is everything. The show needs to be in the headlines for the good reasons mostly, and certainly needs less negative press. Although the irony of the whole thing will probably be Rylan goes on to have a Jedward style career.
December 10, 201212 yr Hmmm, from the little I saw of this complete non event of a series, I think the right decision was made in the end. Only problem is that James just screams new Matt Cardle, with so much talent and potential, but utterly wasted by deluded arrogance and a truly terrible label. Jahmene will doubtless still get his album of covers, but maybe on a better label.
December 10, 201212 yr Personally I don't think James Arthur is anything like Matt Cardle at all. Matt was more indie, but James Arthur has more urban roots i.e. he will appeal to the Capital FM and Radio ilk. It was cool to like Matt Cardle on the X Factor but he never had that broader appeal that James certainly has. You can see where people draw the comparisons, but I don't think they're anything more than MALE AND A BIT EDGY.
December 10, 201212 yr Says a lot that Ella is getting signed by Syco after coming 6th. She really, really should have won and looking at James' insane bounce back after being bottom 2 she might have done if she'd stayed over him.
December 10, 201212 yr Has anyone noticed this is the first time a contestant that was bottom 2 at least once throughout the competition won the whole thing?
December 10, 201212 yr Next year they need to change the themes, its become far to repetitive, this year was just utterly predictable in so many parts. The show does get to hard of a time ratings wise especially this year, over 10 million tuned in Saturday night, i don't know about Sunday night yet but 10 million is not bad for a show that many say is on its knees. Im not sure if the right person won, Ella although not in the final should have won. It does say alot though if syco signed her already, they obviously see her potential. When the voting stats were announced you could see the look on the other contestants faces and it was more than obvious than none of them liked Chris Maloney.
December 10, 201212 yr Apparently Jahmene, Ella and Union J are being signed to SyCo. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc289p24xG1rgegfoo1_500.gif
December 10, 201212 yr Apparently Jahmene, Ella and Union J are being signed to SyCo. No surprises there! They'll want to make Ella as big as Leona was, not that it will happen, nevermind how talented she is, and Louis' banged on enough times about how Union J are going to be the next boyband, so they'll want to make them the next One Direction.
December 10, 201212 yr So taking out Christopher's voting percentage from the final yesterday, it leaves James on 57.99% and Jahmene on 42.01% - a pretty comfortable victory. I wasn't a huge fan of either of them, but James is infinitely the better singer, and I can see myself liking what he goes on to release anyway! His winner's song was much better than Jahmene's uninspired (and destroying of a classic) cover.
December 10, 201212 yr I would have thought there would have been a better single cover for James' version of Impossible. http://i2.cdnds.net/12/50/618x618/james-arthur-impossible-2012-1200x1200.jpg
December 10, 201212 yr I think that's a really good single cover personally. :D Yay for James Arthur winning, I hope that Syco don't f*** his chances up though.
December 10, 201212 yr Ahh, so the X Factor winner's single is also a charity single too? That'll explain the massive lead on iTunes. Anything to get those extra sales. :D That said, I just previewed 'Impossible' on iTunes and the production on the backing track sounds brilliant.
December 10, 201212 yr I like the cover too tbh, no-one will agree but he looks good and even if it's simple it's nice.
December 10, 201212 yr The series ended on the most pathetic high ever - James was horrific, but in comparison to Jahmene he was incredible. Surely the only way is up for X Factor next year, it can't be worse... You'd think that, but last year I had a theory that they'd made XF so terrible that year so that it could then look amazing the next year. And it got worse.
December 10, 201212 yr Poor District 3, they were the more popular boy band the three weeks before they went home! Unlucky for them :( I can't believe Christopher topped the votes for the first seven weeks, what a joke! And I'm glad he's been exposed as the vapid little b!tch he is.. I'm dumbfounded he had so many people fooled!
