December 9, 201212 yr I'm going to say ~325k. I can see it being huge if the song suits the winning act well and being a charity single it should do well. It will have a physical release as well right?
December 9, 201212 yr Going to be pessimistic and predict 100-150k. Reckon it'll be higher if James Arthur wins, but the 8-series pattern of a winner never being in the bottom two suggests Jahmene will win.
December 9, 201212 yr I said 100-150k under the assumption Jahmene would win but I think James will do a lot better than that. Maybe over 200k.
December 10, 201212 yr The boys tend to sell more when they win initially? I've no idea about the acts but viewing figs down, singles market up (though X-F doesn't perform like the market it's kind of an aberrant statistically) and this time for charity which should boost although physical stockists get thinner and thinner every year. I''ll say 200-250k!

December 10, 201212 yr Well judging on the state of the popbars at the moment and how much he's increased even in the last 2 hours at this time in the morning, I think we could see massive figures here. I'm going over 500k easily
December 10, 201212 yr I notice the latecomers to the thread have been predicting a bit higher. ;) Working on the assumption they know something we previously didn't? I certainly wouldn't say my prediction is particularly high for a xf winners song...
December 10, 201212 yr Voted 400-500k purely from the iTunes lead and guestimating what 'Scream & Shout' is likely to sell this week.
December 10, 201212 yr Voted 400-500k purely from the iTunes lead and guestimating what 'Scream & Shout' is likely to sell this week. Can see the logic of this, and probably would have upgraded my prediction if had seen the pop bars. II've more been looking at what the established hits have been selling in the top5 in thinking about it. No doubt will tail off significantly as the week progresses but impressive lead anyone know what the biggest lead at iTunes no1 was?
December 11, 201212 yr Author Working on the assumption they know something we previously didn't? I certainly wouldn't say my prediction is particularly high for a xf winners song... After Little Mix's 'flop' last year, who could have expected this year's winner to start so strongly? :o
December 11, 201212 yr I expected it to at least sell more than Little Mix's opening sales of 210k purely based on the fact this year's winner's single is also a charity single. I guessed it would sell around 200-250k, but now it looks like it would well sell over 300k.
December 11, 201212 yr Already sold 187,000. http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/j...ales-ever-1753/
December 11, 201212 yr Already sold 187,000. http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/j...ales-ever-1753/ That means he is on for about 400-450 K. My prediction was way out then. :(
December 11, 201212 yr Ok, who was the member that just keyed in 100k, it was on 7 just a minute ago
December 11, 201212 yr 187k sold already, with still 5 days left and the physical copies not out yet, I think he can do 500k at least :o Didn't expect that at all!
December 11, 201212 yr Most HMV stores are getting 300+ copies so presuming they all sell this week which is likely that's 277 stores x 300 copies = 83,000+ sales.
