Possibly Twin Atlantic 'Free'? I'm pretty sure that was playlisted on two separate occasions this year.

The correct answer is Gotye! 14 weeks is pretty staggering really! Playlist run went C-B-B-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A

Rihanna WHYB was 12 weeks: C-B-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A

These were on for 11 weeks:

Ed Sheeran - Drunk

Nicki Minaj - Starships

Ben Howard - Only Love

Coldplay & Rihanna - Princess of China

Ed Sheeran - Small Bump

Maroon 5/Wiz - Payphone

It probably felt like it was playlisted about 4 times  but I don't actually know how long it spent on the playlist as it was added sometime in 2011 and I only started tracking the playlists from the start of 2012 onwards.

This should be the last one of the year.

Was hoping they'd remove "Little Things" and add "Kiss You" this week but oh well.

Has Kiss You even got an official impact date yet?

Little Things's release date was only last week I think. They usually probably leave about 3 months between singles, so maybe in February or something. But they should bring the release date forward imo.
Also, 50 Cent, Eminem and will.i.am are the same age as Robbie Williams, so Radio 1 can't be ageist.

Robbie Williams is 38

Eminem is 40

50 Cent & will.i.am are both 37

Think it slotted in for the 4th feb.

Some great songs on the list this week and great to see 50 Cent back on there!!

Is there not a playlist next wednesday - the 2 official weeks that are messed up by xmas on bbc generally are week beginning 24/12 & 31/12. There could be one next week!

Were any of Britney's singles from Femme Fatale playlisted?
Indeed it was A-listed (just checked back), and then subsequent singles were snubbed :(

4th February? Seems a bit late given their Comic Relief single is available to pre-order from the end of January. Not that impact dates mean much for post-album releases, it's gone top 10 based on The X Factor and the video is out next week. Guess they might swap them after the freeze, doing a lot better than "One Thing" already anyway.

Yeah impact dates mean not much but you still find radio isnt prone to adding it to the playlist that quick even if they are top 40 already - radio 1 still kept Little Things in their alist - so it could fall post xmas for a bit then rise again with the video and radio airplay!!

Indeed strange to see the first single alisted then subsequent singles not played at all!!

I think Jake Bugg Lightening Bolt being added to the alist now symbolises the problem with radio 1 - they act like they are the promoters of New Music which they do quite well but they still don't take enough risks - why not have played LB in the b/a list straight away in April when it was first released instead of holding back?

'Lightning Bolt' was added to the INMWT list on its first release. It's not the main playlist, but then he IS a new and (at the time) unknown artist so you can't exactly expect that. They did still give him some main playlist support before his album release / first hit single - B-Listing 'Taste It'.

How annoying how radio 1 are now snubbing Leona but maybe theres still hope if "Glassheart" gets a single release next year?

Yeah i suppose but its like the bbc have decided to give 6 music the job of really playing new artists from their first releases and radio 1 play them once they are massive - bit like Ben Howard - his re-releases got the alist treatment when they really decided to back him but his initial release only got soft airplay.

Maybe its because they dont have proper record deals initially and so radio 1 arent getting paid the big bucks lol!
