Friday had a great episode!

I think EE need to do something with Shirley, Billy, Jean and Patrick. I always feel they are just there, and never get decent storylines. The all are very good actors/actresses but because they have no family on the square really (except Lola) they seem to just fade away. I think Deano and Carley should be back for good for shirley, there could be some hysterical scenes with shirley as a grandmother. And Honey should come back with the kids for Billy (I saw her sitting with him at the Soap Awards and was like 'is she married to him in real life, or is she coming back!?)

Tuned in tonight for the first time in a couple of weeks, and is this Alfie-scared-to-tell-Kat-absolutely-anything-to-do-with-him-and-Roxy thing STILL going on? :manson: It's getting a bit tedious now. Hopefully they've got some better stories than THIS coming up to fill air time.
Friday was excellent and Jessie delivered some stunning scenes in particular, her performance was so so believable.

Just a shame tonight's was so boring...I don't like the new characters at all, do we need Carl, another hard man , Danny and Sadie (i know this was her first episode but still!) they need to introduce a new family or work with what they have and develop those characters better.

still can't get away with that 'Danny' terrible actor, was in it for 2 episodes and gets nominated for a soap award... There are actors who have been in it for years and never been nominated.

Im loving Lauren since her return, Jacqueline has delivered some excellent scenes and im finding her scenes so believable, im loving the sobering part of her storyline and i have to say her acting has impressed me hugely.

I've caught up with the past two weeks and I agree that Friday 2nd August episode was the best of the year. I was thinking about Kat's past during her and Whitney's initial scenes but I didn't think Eastenders would actually bring it up. If Kat gets some great storylines rather than teasing Tawmar - who needs to go, he's even worse than Abi! - or trying to get Alfie back, she would quite easily be my favourite character again!

The episodes after that have been alright, I've enjoyed Lauren's return and I think Sadie has potential to be good, but again it has highlighted that there is a lot of characters who the producers need to get shot of.

I like Tamwar, his character is socially awkward, that describes this 'woodenness' when acting
I have come to the conclusion that Abi is a hell child.

Only just? :P She's been horrific for 7 years or however long it's been now! She is possibly the worst character in ANY soap right now. She makes Kym Marsh/Lomas whatever she is now look like Meryl Streep, awful actress for a truly terrible character. In fact, this entire teen holiday thing is nothing but dire, except newly hot Peter Beale shedding his shirt and wearing shorts :kink:

What's wrong with Kym's acting?

Abi needs to go asap. The fact that after tonight's episode there's a chance an Abi Jr. will be here in 9 months time makes me want to cry.

If Abi had a child, I don't think I could cope :(

I've really lost touch with EE this year. Too far behind to even bother catching up :(

WHY have the made Abi pregnant. Just let the poor girls go to Uni!! Surely she could just go to one in London and commute if they want to keep her in the show.

I don't know there's just something very wooden and awful about her.

You just know she'll have 2 or 3 kids, work in the pub and maybe reach for the stars and get a stall on the market

I think Kym is quiet a strong actress and i enjoy her scenes immensely, that said i prefer her comedy side to her serious side.
