As for that poll, does Shirley no longer count as a Carter? :P

I did wonder that myself. Maybe just the new bunch (although Tina's not that new is she?)

Yeah, it's just the new characters (I'd class Tina as new still), I'm just being silly. :P

How long has Tina been there? I dip in and out of paying attention to Eastenders properly tbh, she's only been there a month or two though hasn't she?

Some top-notch acting on Eastenders tonight!

I actually like all the Carter's so far, Nancy probably being my least favourite yet I still like her. A GREAT move to introduce them, a breath of fresh air to the show!

Danny Dyer is fantastic in this. I knew he was a capeable actor- Borstal Boy is a brilliant film. His playing a completely different character then what you'd expect and it's working.

Sam Strike is brilliant aswell. A great find from EastEnders. That scene at the end was brilliant and I especially liked Mikes line 'Maybe you were the one who we should have called Nancy' to ease the tension somewhat.

And Kat having Twins!! Was not expecting that.

That ending. Wow. Really hit me in a way no soap ever has, it's a storyline pretty close to my heart for the most part. Best EE has been in a LONG time.
I actually never expected Kat to be having twins, got a funny feeling she end up losing one of them.
OMG! :o Jane's back! Didn't see that one coming...good job hiding it DTC!

Well the producers did say they had a few surprises up their sleeves!

It must be important if Jane can abandon her role as headteacher in Scotland to come back to London. :kink:

 I wonder whether she'll be back permanently or only a guest appearance? I'm presuming it's a guest appearance until they announce otherwise.

I reckon it will be temporary too because as far as I'm aware, she is still in Waterloo Road and there's no plans for her leaving.

She's leaving. She's filmed her role in the 9th(?) series that will air sometime this year, but won't be returning for the 10th(?) series.

She has a profile on the BBC website aswell, I think only regular's get them??

Well it's a very welcome return if she does come back permanently! :D I haven't been following Waterloo Road recently so I didn't realise she was leaving that - she was great in it but the show has gone to the dogs.
If she's back permanently I'll be happy. I've only continued watching Waterloo Road for her amazing acting, so she's very much welcome back to EE! Will be interesting to see what happens with the relationships of Ian/Denise and Masood/Carol as a result. Hopefully Masood and Jane finally get to be together!

Well we don't know if she's leaving Waterloo Road or not yet - nothing's been confirmed or announced if she'll be in series 10 or not, but she will have finished filming for series 9 a while ago, so she'll have had time to film this stint.

Wasn't a surprise for me as I accidentally read about it on Digital Spy last night, but it's AMAZING to see her back nonetheless! Hopefully it's permanent, for as great as she is in Waterloo Road, she can do better than a dying show like that now.
