Britney - My Only Wish (This Year) #1075

What is this??

the most flawless christmas song.

Amusing to compare the UK and US charts at Christmas time - their 'battle' for number-one is Bruno Mars v. Rihanna - no charity records, no campaigns; just the same old chart. Wish it were like this in the UK sometimes, Justice Collective is going to drop like a bomb in the New Year; just like the majority of other charity tracks.

Can't believe I've never heard of it!

JC and James Arthur now both on 100%. will.iam & Britney up to 75%!

The song that made #29 in Buzzjack's Favourite Christmas Songs. Which is also being counted down in the Lounge right now and is also in my signature.

 262. It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) - R.E.M.

Rihanna was in it last year as well (Rihanna vs. LMFAO).

But they're not really "battles", since it's usually obvious who'll win.

Unless TJC completely collapse downloads wise (we are talking down to 50% of James) they still have it in the bag. Been #1 on Itunes most of the day (so will have sold more downloads than James today) and we know they are selling more physicals. They should be at least 20k ahead when tomorrow's update comes out.
Impossible  #1

Oh wow! :o This battle is so exciting, it will be interesting to see who will be #1 on Sunday!

Scream & Shout now being used on the advert for Dancing on Ice, so expect it to climb again soon.

The advert has genuinely been on EVERY ad break during X-Factor US

I think Will and Britney have the final number 1 of the year in the bag.

I hope you're right. It would be the second time that will.i.am has 3 UK #1 singles in a year (except last time he wasn't a solo artist)

2009 - Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Feeling, Meet Me Halfway

2012 - This Is Love, Hall Of Fame, Scream and Shout(?)

hope Britney can re-enter the top 100 itunes chart come tomorrow with Till the world ends... it's weird that they chose that random REM track from the 80's over Britney....

It's all politics.

In what way is it 'weird' that a classic song by a classic band has been chosen over some random flop by Britney Spears? (And before anyone says it I know it wasn't a flop outside the UK etc. but it was here). You need some perspective.

To be honest, I hardly ever see any of Britney Spears's past discography in the top 1000 anyway.
