People are being really bitching to Alex Day on here. I don't really like his music but he's only stating his opinion and now people are mocking him. -_-

Yes - expressing your opinion here is always likely to get you into trouble... ;)

Most young people are passionate about music tbh. Just most of them have absolutely NOTHING to do with iTunes. Most young people don't legally download. The average number of songs on a person's mp3 player is probably something like 7,000, but downloads are too expensive for people to pay for that legally (yes, I know they're extremely cheap compared to 50 years ago).

Well, an MP3 *would* have filled up a whole roomful of computers, 50 years ago...

Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=4169900

59p songs in the top 100:

:left: 14 Ke$ha - Die Young

 22 Willy Moon - Yeah Yeah

 27 Ellie Goulding - Figure 8

 44 Daley feat. Jessie J - Remember Me

 50 Shontelle - Impossible

 56 David Guetta feat Taped Rai - Just One Last Time

 60 Jay-Z & Kanye West - Ni**as In Paris

 67 Kanye West, Jay-Z & Big Sean - Clique

:ne: 94 Coldplay - Paradise

You sound like an old grandad saying that!

You can't critizize young people just because your song is not doing as well as you wanted it to. Young people have better things to spend their money on rather than your shit song.

WHY DON'T YOU JUST GIVE UP

That is just too rude. Please express your opinion in a softer way.

Also I would like to ask you to reduce your sig, too large and it's really not nice to see the kobbar references. Thanks ;)

Yes but does that really justify bitchy comments?

I don't rate his music personally and his earlier comments come across as quite patronising and arrogant but it's extremely annoying how everyone jumps on him with catty remarks. Someone said to me yesterday on here (I think it was Gezza) that it's not what you say, it's how you say it (or something to that effect). Well there you go...

I don't think that the comments towards him have been bitchy? If he thinks that they are, he should try being a full-time member on this website. People on here generally tell the truth to other posters and he either has to take that on the chin or leave the forum if he can't deal with it. I've been through stuff like this on this website myself, but I've listened to the advice and I've tried to be a better poster because of it. I wouldn't advise posting on a forum when you're a celebrity anyway, most celebrities are generally not used to the nature of the internet (you only have to look at the Katherine Jenkins incident with Aled to see that).

MORE IMPORTANTLY who even IS Alex Day and why does he/she have such a bad stage name?

He's basically a YouTube star who has made a few fanbase hit songs that are extremely front-loaded. The biggest example of this is Forever Yours, which peaked at #4 in the Christmas 2011 chart.

Really?? The "WHY DON'T YOU GIVE UP" comment wasn't bitchy?

It's like saying to a stranger that they are useless at their job and should give up. But we all know that people can be complete cowards on the internet and hide behind silly usernames, saying things they would never say in real life.

Not on itunes topic - but Grief - WTF do you have such a large sig; it seriously dominates the whole page near enough

True, Griff please reduce your sig to normal size. Thank you.

Just noticed there is a clean version of Scream & Shout at #110. Safe for #3 this week then.

The explicit version at #3 is now up to almost 60% of #1.

#92 now :D

I think the point is who is he to say what is filler or not. I'm sure I could listen to an Oasis album and think it mostly filler cus I don't like them so a song by them has to be outstanding for me to like it. If a fanbase is happy with albums and buys them then who are we to argue if it is filler or not.

Who are you, or any of us on this forum, to say what is filler and what is not? Or what are good songs and what are not? This whole forum relies on OPINION. Just because he's an artist, it doesn't mean he isn't allowed one.

You have been told several times to reduce your siggie, now its getting irritating as hell, please reduce it.

Must of had some promo as it was #39 this morning

Previous single was actually 'Miss Atomic Bomb' (got top 100 I think), but I'm still not convinced this is "released" just yet. They've only just premiered the video and have little airplay for it. Radio 1 haven't even playlisted it (not even C) and I'd have thought they would be on board with a Killers single whether the previous ones flop or not. I dunno, maybe I'm just in denial that this is a release now, and I don't want to see it completely flop. But something doesn't seem right about this release

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about Here With Me, it doesn't seem like it's had a proper release, especially as its impact date was so soon after Miss Atomic Bomb. I would have thought they'd at least have done *some* promo if it was properly released, and like you say Radio 1 would have been on board with it. However, it has been on the Radio 2 playlist for a few weeks, which makes me think that it was released after all... who knows

Christmas Kworb Popularity Chart

An update from yesterday's chart. Made In Chelsea enter the top 20, £1 Fish Man finally enters the top 40 (YAY). We also see a MCR OA/OS song go top 40 plus Imagine Dragons and Daley re-entering the top 40. (They are marked as :ne: because they haven't been T40 this week)

I'm surprised Pitbull is lasting so long in the top 15 having not gone top 10 yet. Maybe all the girls as in love with his bulge in the video and are being hypnotised into buying the song

I hope Figure 8 can make it top 10 in January. Great song!
