That was a good show! :D I particularly enjoyed the Rudimental, James Arthur, and Girls Aloud performances - that Girls Aloud song has really grown on me now!

Also, did you know that Robbie Williams, Girls Aloud and RIta Ora are performing again on New Year's Eve? :o

I take it robbie will perform Different then? Hopefully it will maybe help it into the top 40 for a week!!
Not the best tracks to represent 2012, Gabrielle not bad at all, if anyone thinks GA's performance was brilliant they need their ears examined, Sarah mumbled her words couldn't hardly hear her, plus the track was rather bland, one moment Nadine nearly had a wardrobe malfunction.

Girls Aloud performance was more of an extra performance to mark their 10 years in music.

James Arthur now, he sounds rather boring performing Impossible.

Overall it was a poor show, without commenting on the #1 track, because I know its awful.

So negative Martin :(

I actually thought it was actually a better show than last years TBH. James, Gabrielle, Robbie for the performance & Rudimental were brilliant.

Alot of the xmas spirit there mikey lol  . Gab, Emeli, Robbie and Rudimental were good - typical xmas day fare for totps. Where was Jay-Z?

I would have thought a better representation of 2012 having Gotye since its the biggest selling single of the year, other acts that could have performed fun., Maroon 5, Lana Del Rey, will.iam had 2 #1s with the Script and Eva Simons, over the hideous track from Sam & The Womp and a few others. Paloma's track was hardly a big hit of 2012, but I love her performance.

Rudimental, Robbie, Paloma Faith, Emeli Sande and Florence were the highlights of the show for me.

Goyte....Has the song EVER been performed? For some reason, I can not see it working on stage.

See for yourself. :D

Watched the show during christmas dinner, Rudimental were awesome <3 definite highlight for me (as expected)

Didn't care much for half of them, but Florence and Gabrielle were good

The likes of Gotye & Fun were definitely huge misses but it still felt a much better representation of the year than the 2011 special. Could have done without the likes of Robbie & Girls Aloud but given they date from when the show was on every week they were always going to be there. Great to see Carly Rae Jepsen there (the one act from outside the UK which was one more than last year), Rudimental were awesome and as ridiculous as Sam & The Womp were, I secretly love it ^_^

Had they actually got Psy in to do Gangnam Style it would have been incredible, but at least they played it briefly!

They skipped three months in their rundown of the years hits, March to May.
As others have said, it was better than last years. I guess they could only get certain guests to perform live - it would be pretty unlikely for TOTP to get Gotye or fun. so they have to work with what is available (Sam and the Womp etc).

I enjoyed the show overall but I do miss the old days of the Christmas TOTP where they actually counted down the Xmas chart and also the chart of the year (late 90s to early 00s). Back then they literally played all the big hits of the year. I remember 99 had Cliff Richard, Britney, Eiffel 65, Alice Deejay, Lou Bega, S Club 7, ATB, TLC, Ricky Martin, Shania Twain, Boyzone etc. I guess its harder to get acts for a one off (before it was axed I guess TOTPs would have been in most acts diaries etc).

Still nice to see TOTP again though I can't see BBC1 ever bringing it back full time.

^^Yes it was great - aul Noel Edmunds presenting too - they had the 1976 and 77 xmas no1s too!!
So much better than the Xmas edition, bar Tulisa, less said about Tulisa.
Arlissa - Sticks and Stones, sounds like Kimbra in places, not bad on first listen.
Didn't expect to see Arlissa on here :o Good song, a little Eurovision!

She should go to Malmo. BBC take note. This could bring it home!

"Different" :cheer: hope this make top 40.
