December 28, 201213 yr Yes, the EOY is being announced separately this year thank God. (They may have done this last year as well? Can't remember). Yes, they did. 31/12/2011 EOY countdown 01/01/2012 The official chart :D
December 28, 201213 yr Can't believe James is still selling so well and might do a little over 200k this week. Nothing against him. He deserved to win but still.
December 28, 201213 yr Kylie at 35 in midweeks.... 15k this week? think it may struggle to keep top 40 it needs dropping in price to £5 instead of £7 like it is in HMV..... went HMV canary wharf today and no copies to be found...... will this be Abbey Roads last week top 40? still should have sold 175,000+ so far which is better than most thought I hope it can stay top 40 and if it does i would say it will be its last week top 40. A price reduction would be great right now as it would help it sell now the christmas rush is all but over.
December 28, 201213 yr Nice to see Kelly at #20 again! :) Hopefully she'll sell we'll into the year. :)
December 28, 201213 yr Psy won't be #2 on Sunday, he's been #4 or lower for two days now. Probably #3 or 4
December 28, 201213 yr Psy won't be #2 on Sunday, he's been #4 or lower for two days now. Probably #3 or 4 He's not been lower than #3 combined on iTunes since Xmas Eve though - he'll definitely stay top 3 and he might still be #2 if he gets a significant weekend boost as usual. And I expect he'll hold up well next week also with the New Year effect.

December 28, 201213 yr Sadly Psy looks like been the next million seller. I think James Arthur may reach 1 million first. Impossible could get there in the next three weeks at the current rate its selling. PSY will likely follow very quickly though.
December 28, 201213 yr Nice to see Kelly at #20 again! :) Hopefully she'll sell we'll into the year. :) Hope the copy I bought today helps. :D
December 29, 201213 yr Article on OCC website to say that "21" is now the 4th biggest album of all time overtaking Oasis! still 500k short of Abba though
December 29, 201213 yr Article on OCC website to say that "21" is now the 4th biggest album of all time overtaking Oasis! still 500k short of Abba though No chance of getting any higher then. ABBA could overtake The Beatles rather soon then if their Gold: Greatest Hits is always appearing in the album chart.
December 29, 201213 yr No chance of getting any higher then. ABBA could overtake The Beatles rather soon then if their Gold: Greatest Hits is always appearing in the album chart. I think she has a chance of overtaking The Beatles once ABBA have overtaken them (which will happen soon), so that she would be number three. It would take years, of course.
December 29, 201213 yr There were lots of his CDs at the counter in my HMV today (Scarborough). That could either mean they over-stocked and not selling, or selling very well & just re-stocked... He's not been lower than #3 combined on iTunes since Xmas Eve though - he'll definitely stay top 3 and he might still be #2 if he gets a significant weekend boost as usual. But Will & Brit's is also a club track, so that should cancel out any advantage PSY might have in that respect...
December 29, 201213 yr Article on OCC website to say that "21" is now the 4th biggest album of all time overtaking Oasis! still 500k short of Abba though I will be very upset if 21 will overtake ABBA album. In my opinion this one is a greatest album in music (or at least one of them). More than 35 years their music is fresh, that's f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c. edit: last week I was at the musical 'Mamma Mia' and it was one of the best day of 2012 for me although I've known this music since my childhood. It's a kind of magic :) Edited December 29, 201213 yr by Better Man
December 29, 201213 yr No chance of getting any higher then. ABBA could overtake The Beatles rather soon then if their Gold: Greatest Hits is always appearing in the album chart. I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet actually! ABBA should overtake The Beatles in the next 18 months. ^_^
December 29, 201213 yr Abba is just 13k behind The Beatles. I would say Abba will be there in a few months (6 months max I'd say)
December 29, 201213 yr I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet actually! ABBA should overtake The Beatles in the next 18 months. ^_^ In February, ABBA were at 4,989,000 and The Beatles at 5,044,000 whereas now they are at 5,046,000 and 5,059,000, respectively. It will take much less than 18 months.
December 29, 201213 yr Would everyone agree this week is the 3rd biggest week of the year for physical cd single sales?
