Hopefully Kylie's upcoming studio album will one day make an appearance here!

I think that could be possible, the Abbey Road covers album is keeping her name out and if she releases a great pop song like "All The Lovers" she could sell lots of her new album.

Or she could release a great pop song anyway and flop like Madonna (Give Me All Your Luvin' was amazing!)

Yay for Ben Howard! :cheer: I'm slightly surprised though, I would have though that the album had sold more than that! :o

I'm still waiting for the killer Calvin Harris/David Guetta produced lead single. :smoke:

That would be amazing to listen to if that ever happened!

No offence, I get some people like these countdown threads but why can't you just put the entire list in a single post instead of posting a couple at a time? Surely people don't actually get excited about a countdown of the top 100 best selling albums of the '10's??

I do! It's really interesting for me to see these albums being counted down...

I like a good countdown. It's why people still listen to the chart instead of just waiting until it's published online. It's always nice to have a little commentary too and a countdown prolongs the life of the thread leading to more interesting discussion.

Fair enough guys. :) I wasn't trying to sound like a dick. I guess I'm just too impatient for these sort of things, haha.

Minimal rises in this collection for Noah & The Whale and Example who each climb a place whilst long stayer “Never Forget- Ultimate Collection” only falls 4 spots but how much more selling power does it have with 2.25 million already sold? It is however the oldest album in the top 100 now. Another new entrant here for Nicki Minaj whose debut set finally makes the 100 for the decade though her second album is hard on its heels with 2012 sales of 242k.

I'm wondering if I'll actually like any of the albums in this chart.

Three new entrants here to delight. Brit school graduates Rizzle Kicks debut album makes it along with the debut from the Vaccines who came third in the BBC sound of 2011 and saw nominations for BRITS following. New too for Calvin Harris who finally hits the big time (album wise) with his third album which has quickly struck ahead of previous efforts and no move for Snow Patrol though the album has, on the whole, failed to sell as some would expect.

Four medium fallers from Cheryl Cole (Soooo close to that million), James Morrison, Elbow and Caro Emerald and a sad new entry for Houston, who post death saw sales of her 2007 GH set, which was the main beneficiary of the bad news, soar past the million mark.

I seriously hope so! The OCC surely have to reveal when it does pass 1 million.

They certainly give less attention to million selling albums than the million selling singles, but often albums that pass 1 million when still high in the charts (Mylo Xyloto, Our Version of Events, Who You Are, +, 21 etc.), they mention them. I noticed that in you Best Selling Albums of the Noughties thread, the majority of the million sellers weren't confirmed in a MusicWeek report or on the OCC website.

Yes they were rarely mentioned historically speaking, unless they were riding high in the charts at the time.

Well that's the best album in the countdown dispatched with then, I'm hoping that the OCC will disclose some more Arcade Fire data when their new one comes out.
If only Whitney's 'The Ultimate Collection' hadn't been a budget album for the first few months after her death, could she have possibly been to #1? Certainly higher than the two #7 albums she got (which IIRC were the exact same album but under different titles?)

I think Vidcapper said to me once that she would have re-entered at #4.
