Beyonce’s “IASF” just refuses to die or stop selling and a gentle decline despite the campaign being over by the time the decade opened (mainly), and Westlife prove there are still sales left in the old dog yet with their last album hanging in there. Meanwhile Snow Patrol’s GH set manages to outstrip their last studio album to become their best seller of the 2010s, Black Eyed Peas give us the first of their two albums on this list and Kasabian climb a little with “Velociraptor” but owe a debt to the poor sales of the year in general for part of that climb.

Who’d a thought Boyzone would still be in this list? Well there they are, though at that rate they’re unlikely to make it on the 2013 update. The first of two albums from Andre Rieu and Paloma Faith both surface and clearly they have both done better with other efforts. Proving that the Buble effort was no one off, Stewart has turned festive favourites into sales and “Merry Christmas Baby” is already his biggest seller of the decade.

Paloma's debut is the better of her two albums but I do love Fall to Grace. Hope that creeps it's way in eventually

Only 3 acts can claim 3 or more albums on this list and the first of those is JLS who come in at No 69. Recent album “Evolution” looks like it won’t be adding to their tally any time soon, another act who we haven’t seen the last of are the Foo Fighters who make No 68 and are barely moving year after year. Oasis continue to show they still have a market and dip only slightly, not so the XX and Eliza Dolittle who take tumbles without any new hits to add, worse for the XX as they at least had a follow up out this year.

Foo Fighters time again, now with their Adele toppling “Wasting Light” which will be outsold by their GH set relatively soon, and a second appearance for JLS whose debut album will reach the 1.5 million someday (maybe). Other than that it’s new entries all the way as P!nk, Robbie Williams and Paloma Faith all soar into the top 70 but only for the latter is it their last entry.

The massive “Black To Black” starts off this section with total sales of just under 3.5 million, enough to suggest her “iconic” status may last, unlike Glee who see their only remaining album slide down our rundown and clearly are no longer a chart force. The Wanted’s debut set continues to move down though perhaps not as quickly as some might have thought, other than that it’s double Rihanna time with the oldest and youngest of her albums side by side. Naturally no other act can boast as many as 4 albums on this rundown- the real star of the decade so far?

Is this countdown only going to include albums from the artist album chart, or are Compilations included too?

Only artist albums :D

By the time this countdown is over it will be 2014 and we will be onto this years countdown <_<

Awwww, leave poor Gezza alone.

It takes our more senior members several hours to construct a post and you should respect that. He does very well to find the enter key, let alone embed a youtube video. :(

In our final set outside the top 50 Andre Rieu is back with his biggest seller, Cheryl and Black Eyed Peas offer their second albums on this list but both are on the slide, but it’s Will Young and Westlife that hold up the best showing a continued fanbase committed to not letting the side down. In other news however we move past the half million mark.

Another hardy Perennial KOL just cling onto a top 50 place and has already done half a million in this decade alone, and Biffy Clyro are now well over double platinum. David Guetta’s “Nothing But The Beat” has now surpassed “One Love” as his best seller and his star seems undimmed as the decade progresses though the decision not to include sales of “Nothing But The Beat 2.0” must affect future sales of this one. We’re not done with the new entries as Christmas favourites Olly Murs and Mumford & Sons go straight into the top 50 with their new album, both have more to come.

Apologies people real life intervened- however back on track now- for those wanting the full list there's less than a week to wait- I'll post 10 a day from here on in I promise (until the top 10 anyway)
Haha I sort of agree. Can't you just post the whole chart at once?

Why can't you people just be grateful and enjoy a nice countdown and some discussion instead of being rude?!

Don't rush Barry. Thanks for doing this.

Jim, if you don't like the pace, don't read it.

Not including 'Nothing But The Beat 2.0' will make no difference aside from the couple of months when that was in the chart - an even newer version, 'Nothing But The Beat Ultimate', is being combined so the sales are once again in favour of the 'original' version and 2.0 will probably not sell much more.
