Clique should have been in the top 10 instead of Emeli Sande.

I will be a bit surprised if 50 Cent doesn't go to #1 on iTunes tomorrow.

Has a 50 Cent song ever gone #1 on iTunes before? I think In Da Club, Ayo Technology or Hate it or Love It are the only ones that might've done.

Will.i.am/Britney now 24% ahead. #1 next week too?

I think it could happen. They're really shaping out to have quite a chart run! :o Although you get a lot of songs around this time of year that hang around for ages a bit by default.

I don't know, maybe P.I.M.P might have got to #4 or something and 21 questions as well.

One 50 Cent song that should have got to #1 is Heat.

Only AT was on itunes as it didnt exist when In da Club came out lol.

Strange that so many old songs have finally taken off on itunes for whatever reason - i suppose this is the first real week of 2013 as the gift card effect wanes and the pre 17th december 2012 songs start to rise!

Yeah i agree. Scream & Shout will hardly be selling by the bucket load so it should be fairly easy to overtake. It might not last there for long though if Justin releases on Monday.

It will be like Ayo Technology all over again with 50 Cent and JT dominating! :w00t:

Had no idea Dont Stop The Party and Clown were reduced to 59p, must be helping them both out a lot. Woo Emeli, hope Clown gets at least #10. Guetta's new song 59p too finally doing better at #18. Clique doing so well too!

Emeli will still be huge this month, february and march. OVOE wont drop out of top 40 till about April/May I'd say..if that. What a huge debut for her!

I thought it started in 2003, because I remember someone saying Crazy in Love got #1 on iTunes.

Is the Justin Timberlake release official?

Yeah. He's releasing a song in a few days, and apparently it's produced by Timbaland. :w00t: Not sure when it'll be available in the UK though. I hope it can be as big and as good as Carry Out at least.

Justin Timberlake update:

561. Ayo Technology

563. Cry Me a River

734. Senorita

850. Rock Your Body

896. My Love

943. Like I Love You

1026. What Goes Around

1377. Dead and Gone

Biffy Clyro just posted on facebook that they're performing tonight... confusing! Lol

I'm hoping it'll be much better than Carry Out and completely different. Hopefully same standard as everything on Futuresex/Lovesounds Perfect Album! :D

James Arthur back  to #3, Rihanna  to #4 -_-

PSY  to #13 and #26 on his favourite day of the week.

Adele back  to #19. Hope 'Skyfall' can continue to hang around where it is for a while yet and end up selling 700k+ overall.

Carry Out sounds like something from FutureSex/LoveSounds anyway. If it's really Justin + Timbaland, I think it's very likely to be percussion driven I'm afraid. Carry Out sounds very similar to Let Me Talk To You (0:00-1:35):

Really hoping JT can deliver with his comeback single - he's certainly promised it'll be something he's proud of; let's just hope it's something the radio get behind. Timbaland's production alone isn't enough to make me think it'll be a hit, I mean "Pass At Me" (an abomination of a record) was lucky to scrap in at #40 last year; and that featured David Guetta AND Pitbull.

Timbaland definitely showed a decline in quality (as was expected after the perfectness of Shock Value), but i'm confident the pair can really make this a big comeback. And, i may be still stuck in the past, but surely radios will HAVE to support the single because it's Justin!?

Yeah, radio play will be a key factor in whether this is a big hit or not.

Timbaland has been involved in lots of flop singles recently, so you're right that he doesn't guarantee the song will be a big hit. Like he released a single with Ne-Yo recently called Hands in the Air which flopped, and also his song Amnesia with Ian Carey, etc. flopped too, despite a little bit of exposure on Radio 1 (as much as I like Timbaland, that song was a bit nothing-y though, and I doubt he even contributed much to the production tbh).

Unfortunately Justin's name alone can't sell a song. :( This EXCELLENT song he did with Esmee Denters didn't get the airplay it deserved imo.

Timbalands heyday in the uk charts was 2006-2009!

Hope Black Chandelier does well tomorrow especially after his performance on JR tonight!

Oh i do remember that happening actually... I still hear Get Me Outta Here occasionally on the radio, so maybe it just got overshadowed by that.
