4. Kero Kero Bonito "Trampoline" [Lomaja]

The 3-month old Lomaja may seem like a wildcard in this top 5, but they did send KKB after all. It was very important to keep up their annual Autumn appearance in the contest so thank you for that ~

3. Ezra Furman "Restless Year" [singerpurear]

Raucous indie rock/pop quite akin to Vampire Weekend, Best Nation Singerpurear clearly knew what I liked very well <3 The album is really good too btw

2. Kazaky "Milk Choc" [N DNTN]

where did this majestic hot jam come from?? BJSC please take note and deliver more outrageously fun tracks like this in 2017!

and perhaps the main proof i'm on another planet from the other bjsc voters......

1. MUNA "Winterbreak" [FARC]

It seems a proven method to score high on this chart is to enter a song that packs a big emotional punch (reference the likes of RAMelia and Kishi Bashi in previous years). A bittersweet and honestly rather heartbreaking track about a love that can't be reconciled, and the futile attempts to mend everything :( with the airy atmosphere and the softly-vocodered vocal performance contributing perfectly to this. regardless of whether it connected with anyone else, you got me with this one Jake </3

MERRY DECEMBER EVERYONE x Hope you all enjoyed this countdown and we shall be back with more inane and brilliant trifoski antics very very soon *.*

Why did 83 have to be such a strong contest </3 MUNA really deserved more than it got

Have you heard "Loudspeaker" by them yet? It's so good!

YES WINTERBREAK     :yahoo:

It has the Harmonica-Desbuanda joint seal of approval so you're far from alone. FARC's entries from 83-85 have gotta be the best three in a row I've ever witnessed. I'll save the rest of my thoughts because you might not be the only one with it as your #1 :o Great commentary there!

Also I'm thrilled to have an entry in your top 15, didn't see that coming at all!

Yay! Ezra Furman got some love  Fab record, fab video, a shame it got DNQ'd!

Thanks Seven, I can do my countdown soonish now (though tracks are still climbing the points-based rundown), but I can reveal that the runaway country with 6 entries in the top 100 is.... ta dah.... Trifoski! Backatcha!

Nearest rivals are on 4 entries each, details any day soon...

LOVE Winterbreak - saw them live supporting St. Lucia and it was a special moment, so lush and understated

very happy to see Firefox AK so high! <3

Hmm, 'Winterbreak' was a bit nondescript for me personally! Though has admittedly grown a little since the contest. Your #2 pick is FARRRR better, I absolutely adore 'Milk Choc' There was one day this year where it came on shuffle and I ended up listening to it on repeat for the night, was really feelin' it. It suffered a bit points-wise because it was in the strongest contest of the year for me! Would have been an easy medal position in most other editions.

'The Greatest' is also a wonderful pick in your top 5  Pagasa have such potential from what they've offered us so far.

Great countdown on the whole Seventy! :cheer:

Woop for getting one in here this year *.* Must work on appealing to the Trifoski overlords next year, I always seem to love and point a lot of what you love too so there must be something there.

Restless Year was amazing, one of Singer's best this year, such an unjust DNQ </3 Milk Choc is also great.

BJSC NINETY ONE

AMNESIA SCANNER
AS CRUST

accompanied by a visual representation of Trifoski & the bjsc voters through the majority of 2015-2016
Maybe the best Trifoski entry to date <3 (ok perhaps 2nd to 'O.N.E.' but that's hardly a fair comparison ~~)

Exclusive Interview: Seven talks challenge against Azure, next entry, future plans

TFP: How are you on this cold winter night Seven? :3

Seven: Pretty good thank ya :3

TFP: So it's been reported that you've laid down a challenge to Azure, where you two will go head-to-head to see who finishes higher on 2017's End Of Year scoreboard. Is there a particular reason or motive for this?

Seven: Well here's the thing, Trifoski no longer have anything left to prove in BJSC- two wins under our belt, and how many Top 10s? Oh yeah.....TEN. Azure have only been in the contest for one month, there's no getting around the fact they're essentially a bush league rookie nation in comparison

TFP: oooh, I sense animosity!

Seven: What? of course not, I'm actually trying to help Azure by issuing this challenge! They've proven nothing so far, and I am handing them the perfect opportunity to PROVE themselves as a respectable BJSC country, and as long as they bring the fight to me they'll do just that. And also because sibling rivalry. You mean to tell me your sister/brother/cousin etc joins the contest and you don't try to compete against them? get real ~

TFP: Awesome, so can you tell us what kind of undeniable greatness Trifoski have in store for BJSC 92?

Seven: Our song is French, it's subtle, it's funky, and it's really damn good

TFP: And finally, do Trifoski have any particular aims or goals for the rest of 2017?

Seven: We thought 2016 was our best year so far in terms of entry quality, our main aim for this year is to outdo that. Too ambitious? Probably, but with all the unthinkable feats we've pulled off over time, would you be willing to doubt us x

^^ When I saw Paradis,,, Vanessa Paradis came to mind  actually that is quite good for a french track.

what the shit, "bush league rookie", "proven nothing", have to "prove themselves as a respectable BJSC country" BITCH. You are going down Seven/Trifoski. Azure have been playing nice with these pop punk/rock tracks because it's music they enjoy most but consider it ON. no longer shall Azure be submitting tracks based on their likes but instead tracks that are more likely to do well. Watch Azure rise and crush you.

Barely two months in only, and Azure's already selling out :''''') whatever it takes i suppose

tbh Azure could probably submit songs they enjoy for 8 out of the 11 months and then songs that will do well for the last 3 and still beat Trifoski, I really can't imagine them to be that far ahead

That melody is definitely sampled from Kollektivet right? :D

(another brilliant entry  so on board the Trifoski hype train this year so far)
