September 24, 20159 yr Author - Kero Kero Bonito "Picture This" 9th, 230 pts DUH, DUH, DUHHHHHHNNNN :o You might be raising your eyebrow at this post right now. "hey, didn't KKB finish in 20th?", but that's where you're wrong- see FARC's 12 in the semi finals would've likely translated to an 18 in the finals (had they NOT decided to be non-voting hoebags), plus the maximum points I probably would've received from non-participants Klum & Beaver add up my proper total to.....230 :o I honestly didn't expect this guys, after all these months we're finally back in the Top 10, and we couldn't be happier! :D
September 24, 20159 yr Author okay, so now that's out of the way ~ Y'know I planned for this to be a lot of fun- I was gonna post a selfie in this very thread, I was even gonna encourage others to post selfies as well, as a tribute to my undeniably 'ikonec' entry. It was gonna be great, and we were all just gonna laaaaaugh about it ~ But you people just HAD to screw it all up didn't you. Despite all the various times we had been disrespected by the BJSC voters as of late, we still tried to do nice things for everyone- after all, you gotta love some fun, bright, catchy pop music right? APPARENTLY NOT. Yeah sorry guys, my bad  I was also under the impression you apparently liked "standout" entries, but....*gasp* APPARENTLY YOU DON'T. I guess it doesn't matter that Picture This is undoubtedly one of the strongest pop tracks of the year so far because OH NO the Trifoski name is attached to it, CAN'T APPROVE OF THIS. I know all the agenda stuff seems like a joke, but just look at our result this month and TELL ME I'M WRONG. Now don't get me wrong, we'll never give up on BJSC or do anything rash like that, we've dived too deep into this ocean to just start scrambling back to shore. But what i'm saying is that i'll most certainly think twice before doing such nice things for you people again. Respect is earned around these parts- and since you've continued to show me none, well, consider it a mutual trade! I barely even know what i'm rambling about at this point, so i shall now sign off and (reluctantly) see you all again next month x p.s. forgot to add, our bookmakers are better than yours too. GO SUCK ON THAT ONE
September 25, 20159 yr Should have won really. It's somehow even BETTER than Sick Beat. I appreciate the rant, good to see it's not just me writing paragraphs about how much this contest hates people sending really good music lately. :D

October 9, 20159 yr Author I think I found this when I was at another forum. It's decent. Wrong answer :magic: It's anthemic, standout, amazing and the best song of the contest <3
October 11, 20159 yr Author THE BULLETIN ~ ^ a new column (complete with uninspired title) for recording random splashes of news I feel like sharing Ladytron's "Sugar" achieves Top 40 peak ten years following initial release xLvQJILre6U The ever-generous nation of Trifoski seeked out to commit a good deed this month (that DIDN'T involve those dastardly creatures known as BJSC voters), and we found ourselves in luck when approached by Ladytron vocalist Helen Marnie (a.k.a. Marnie from the wonderful 2013 Caerfyrddia entry "The Hunter"). She was aware of our intentions to compete in the Near Misses contest, and kindly suggested giving Ladytron a shot to represent our wonderful nation. She noted that the group had FOUR #41-50 charting singles to choose from, with no Top 40 singles to their name. I, Trifoski's Chairman of BJSC, insisted this grave injustice absolutely had to be amended. Plans to enter "Destroy Everything You Touch" were scuppered by sneaky Deandria getting there first a few years back, so "Sugar" was chosen instead. Such was the power of Trifoski, we broke through all possible barriers and secured a #31 position, finally gifting Ladytron with their first EVER :jameela: Top 40 smash hit! Our very own sculptors crafted a special award that we shipped off to the group as a symbol of their Top 40 landmark (much like the Official Charts hand out an award to the #1 artist, but we here at Trifoski aren't so restrictive x). Marnie even sent us a lovely postcard in return! ~ http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/u605/SevenSeize93/marnie_zpsmknayv36.png All is good in the life of an iconique BJSC nation :D
October 12, 20159 yr Plans to enter "Destroy Everything You Touch" were scuppered by sneaky Deandria getting there first a few years back Sorry about that :heehee: Actually, not sorry, cos that remains my best ever result :magic: I was actually considering all the other Ladytron songs eligible for the spin-off, including the song you sent! It pains me how badly you did with it, I wish I had given it more points! Edited October 12, 20159 yr by Mattias
October 12, 20159 yr Author Sorry about that :heehee: Actually, not sorry, cos that remains my best ever result :magic: I was actually considering all the other Ladytron songs eligible for the spin-off, including the song you sent! It pains me how badly you did with it, I wish I had given it more points! We do not blame you of course, given the chance to enter a wonderful track like Destroy Everything You Touch, one would be a fool not to take it! The ignoramuses of the BJSC voting pallet can snub me all they like, the important thing is that the good deed has been done.
October 29, 20159 yr Author THE BULLETIN ~ San Fermin sends Agenda running for the hills with surprise Top 20 finish http://assets.audiotree.tv.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/fermincover-300x300.jpg Despite their attempts to keep Trifoski down, the BJSC voters were taken aback as BJSC's ultimate underdogs ended up improving on last month's 19th place. SevenSeize, Trifoski's Chairman & Director of Song Contest Operations, even described the result as "mildly acceptable". He went on to say; 'even though our country will never be allowed to break through that firm glass ceiling above us, we're more concerned with simply taking whatever scraps we can get. My thanks go out to Séyetana, who introduced us to this band over two years ago, and thus helping us discover Jackrabbit'. Mr Seize also proceeded to comment on Kluminican Republic and their track "Circles"- 'Something about that Truls song really resonated with us. I believe this is based off these lines from the chorus- "running round in circles, even though it's hurtful, waiting for the light", and the way they relate to Trifoski's current situation; continuing to enter songs and participate every month, hoping that one day this nation will be adorned with the appreciation they deserve. But since we're aware this moment will never come, all we're really doing is, indeed, running round in circles. Thus, I highly commend Kluminican Republic and their choice of entry this month'. PJSC news; Robert DeLong defeats the mighty Ducky 5bRg519gPuI Over in the land of Popjustice, SevenSeize embarked on a PJSC comeback, enlisting former Trifoski entrant Robert DeLong to bring home the goods. In this imaduck-hosted, Harry Potter-themed contest (which was all the proof needed that Oslol must win BJSC at some point), DeLong's single "Don't Wait Up", a Greenfroze Top 10 hit from a few months back, eventually landed in 4th place, actually managing to BEAT the seemingly invincible imaduck, with his Sharon Doorson track, by a single point. Mr Seize marked this down as "a wonderful accomplishment", and claimed he would place more time and effort into the Popjustice Song Contest for the time being. DeLong's 4th place is the second-highest finish for Seven in a PJSC contest, only below winning track "Otra era" by Javiera Mena last December
October 29, 20159 yr I've lurked around that forum, and it seems fun and confusing at the same time - it's formatted like Blogspot as far as I know. Aside: Also realized that "Ghosts" landed in the same position as last contest :P
November 10, 20159 yr Author THE BULLETIN ~ The PRO-Trifoski Agenda is underway? http://i63.tinypic.com/2z89gmv.png An idea first mentioned by Seven before as merely a hopeless wish, but now it appears likely this idea will miraculously come to fruition. Brayden Smith released this statement earlier today: "The persephonian bjsc committee is introducing a new pro-trifoski agenda, to fight against the vicious anti-trifoski agenda that has plagued the contest of late" While the specific actions taken with this project are unclear at present, the citizens of Trifoski are handed a tiny glimmer of hope that better days are yet to come. SevenSeize, Trifoski's Chairman & Director of Song Contest Operations published this highly inspirational statement: "We are very grateful for Persephonia's assistance, and we thank them endlessly. For obvious reasons, I do not wish to get my hopes up, and believe that our fortunes will change. But all I can do is encourage EVERYONE who is interested to do their part, and SUPPORT the Pro-Trifoski Agenda! I've watched all year as our entries (that easily would've been hits for more popular countries) end up being criminally underappreciated. Well I say enough is enough, and it's time for a change. I realize not every track we send can be a hit, but don't you think this privilege should be rewarded to songs that truly deserve it? That's why it's time to STAND UP! STAND UP FOR GOOD MUSIC. STAND UP FOR TRIFOSKI. DOWN WITH THESE DASTARDLY POLITICS, and let's build ourselves A BETTER BJSC!!"
November 19, 20159 yr Author THE BULLETIN ~ Duett exits contest, Seven slams Selection Team's indecisiveness and promises "end of year retrospective" jXRsuN6Ev9k Trifoski finished the year with a third DNQ, with Duett & Stewart Lockwood's "Running Scared" presumably picking up nothing but low scores leading to the song finishing third-bottom in the semi final (or something, we quite frankly couldn't be arsed to look back and check) SevenSeize has issued this statement regarding Trifoski's Selection Team and the "last-minute scramble" to find an entry for BJSC 80 "What's ridiculous to me is the rushing around at the 23rd hour, trying to decide upon an entry. Ohh no it's the final day we have to pick something, will this do? no wait what about this, actually no we're sending this. OH NO WAIT STOP it's after the deadline but can we change again, please please- TODAY YOU NUMBSKULLS! ANYTHING WE SEND WILL BE A CERTIFIED FLOP SO IT DOESN'T MATTER, JUST PICK A f***ING SONG AND RUN WITH IT!" When enquired about his thoughts on Duett's result, he replied that he had "no comment" "Everything that can be said here has already been said in the past, thus I have no comment" He also left this statement: "I, SevenSeize, will be posting a year-end retrospective very soon in Trifoski's national thread, in which I will touch on our performances in 2015, and what the future holds for the country in 2016." San Fermin arrive at Popjustice http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/u605/SevenSeize93/sanfermin_zpskjsgihbm.jpg Following on from their Top 20 smash in Buzzjack's Song Contest, Brooklyn baroque-poppers San Fermin were given a shot at the Popjustice edition. Perhaps taking a leaf from Stormzy's book, SevenSeize has offered a basket of San Fermin-branded "chocolate rabbits" to anyone that votes for Jackrabbit in the contest To give an idea, they look like this (except made of chocolate, golden wrapping is still included *.*)~ http://media.npr.org/assets/img/2015/04/07/-images-uploads-album-jackrabbit_album_art_copy_sq-85dc1cc253ad38e5c5f23b35de6bfb8dd9af4987-s300-c85.jpg Also worth mentioning is that this month's PJSC is POKÉMON-THEMED. Each participant was required to select their own Pokémon (to use as like a mascot or something, we suppose). Take a wild guess at who we picked? http://i1324.photobucket.com/albums/u605/SevenSeize93/meowstic.gif11_zpsyjfexrhw.gif
November 30, 20159 yr Author Trifoski: 2015 End Of Year Retrospective by SevenSeize This really should be a lot of fun in theory, having a look back down "memory lane" at all of Trifoski's fun escapades and memorable moments throughout the year, giving 2015 some proper closure. If only I could. There are unfortunately things I'm not looking forward to saying in this End of Year Retrospective, but quite frankly if we're ever going to move forward and paint a brighter future for ourselves, these things must be said. I won't mince words- 2015 has been terrible. That isn't to say there weren't good moments. They were rare but they were there; Yeasayer finishing in the Top 10, Sicko Mobb qualifying against all conceivable logic, entering 'Babs Seed'... but for the most part there was nothing to celebrate. I sat by and watched as amazing entries like 'Major Happy' and 'Picture This' were only deemed worthy enough to scrape a Top 20 slot, the beautiful 'Deadwater' not even coming close to that, as well as 3 DNQs. The BJSC voters are obviously to blame for this, as I've stated numerous times in the past. Though as much as I wish I could say the blame lies solely with those filthy cretins known as the BJSC voting community, I'm afraid to say this isn't the case. Especially when Trifoski's own selection team are rushing around at the 23rd hour trying to decide on an entry. As long as I am in power, this WILL NOT happen again. And believe it or not, maybe part of that blame also lies with MYSELF.... (i'll give you a moment to take that one in)..... referring to the above scenario with Trifoski's selection team- WHERE WAS I when all this was happening? Not utilising my own authority and setting things straight, that's for damn sure. How is anyone else supposed to have faith or confidence in Trifoski, when we don't even appear to possess that faith or confidence in what the hell we're doing? And THAT'S WHERE IT ALL CHANGES! The time for sulking and moaning about results is OVER. The time for whining and bitching about BJSC voters and their agendas/vendettas is OVER. The time for going into contests unprepared, rushing around to find entries is OVER. A certain highly inspirational pro wrestling faction has been preaching THE POWER OF POSITIVITY, and we believe that given our current situation, this is the best path to take! Every country has their period of time where they're down in the dumps because the results didn't pan out the way they'd hoped, and in some cases even take that frustration out on others. But I believe it ISN'T too late to turn things around for the better. 2016 for Trifoski will be A NEW DAY. Trifoski will go into 2016 a FORWARD-THINKING NATION (meaning our entries will be chosen wisely, and well in advance~). Trifoski will go into 2016 a CONFIDENT NATION! Trifoski will go into 2016 a STROOOOONGER NATION!! The BJSC voters (:o ~SHOCKING NEWS ALERT~ :o) may hate us, and can continue their vendettas against us all they wish. But just know that in 2016, Trifoski will be the bigger man, we'll be ABOVE THEM ALL! We are of course, as Tina Turner would say- SIMPLY THE BEST, and it's time we went out and PROVED IT to these people :D aIrCFrFpHvw So BJSC, don't you dare be sour! VOTE for your world famous 2-time champs (that's us!!), and FEEEL THE POOOWAAAAAH!!! :cheer: :cheer: OokT8FfuPFc (and by the way, our YEAR-END FAVE ENTRIES OF 2015 COUNTDOWN is landing soon so staaay tuuuuned my fine followers x)
