November 24, 201311 yr If she was invited onto X Factor to perform on the Semi-final and Final, it would be incredible! Maybe 'One More Sleep' on the semi-final and 'Ave Maria' on the final to wow the country and sell her album!
November 29, 201311 yr Leona performing "Winter Wonderland" on Daybreak this morning: yGQIxhA4Xb8 Love her dancing.
November 29, 201311 yr Downloaded this, giving it a listen now! It really doesn't sound like her at all on 'Winter Wonderland' (but I've not heard her in AGES, tbf). A good cover, though!
November 30, 201311 yr Just listening through now and so far it's very pleasant (as expected). Although her cover of 'White Christmas' and arrangement of it has thrown me off completely. Not sure if I like it or not. It'll probably take a good few listens to get used to it. 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)' seems like it was written for her. It's great!
November 30, 201311 yr Every track sounds amazing. Ave Maria, I mean? Incredible! So so excited to see Ave Maria live at some point! Hope she gets another top 3 album with this, whether its first week or secon week after X Factor :)
December 2, 201311 yr Worldwide iTunes positions (courtesy of Kworb): #6 United Kingdom #7 Hungary #11 Slovakia #14 Slovenia #15 Ireland #17 Qatar #19 Thailand #21 Vietnam #22 Switzerland #25 Brunei Darussalam #28 Singapore #30 Nigeria #32 Hong Kong #37 Spain #40 Macau #44 Norway #50 Bulgaria #60 Indonesia #75 South Africa #87 Luxembourg #88 Malaysia #96 France #116 United Arab Emirates #168 Denmark #170 Philippines #185 Portugal #210 Finland #217 Estonia #231 Sweden #241 Germany #246 Chile #254 Taiwan #288 Czech Republic #290 Austria #303 Israel #333 Malta
December 2, 201311 yr #6 is amazing! So happy with that, #1 & #2 are Now albums too! Going to be even higher next week too with X Factor, I'm glad they planned to have her on the week after the release :) Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), Your Hallelujah and Ave Maria are standouts for me. Mr Right is so catchy as well!
December 3, 201311 yr #17 in the midweeks and 32% of its sales are digital. Doing quite well! I expected it to debut at around #15-#20. Hopefully it'll hold on with the increasing airplay of "One More Sleep". :) Edited December 3, 201311 yr by Envoirment
December 4, 201311 yr I think Leona needs it in some ways to go top 10 even if it doesnt happen until next week. The X Factor performance should give it a great boost. I initially though One More Sleep would do very well so i am surprised it hasnt better sales by now, again x factor will boost it but i really thought she would easily go top 10 with it, now top 20 seems to be its best chance, i love he song and its the first decent attempt at a Christmas song for a long time. Christmas albums are peculiar, i never buy them myself but on the whole i dont think they do well, Rod Stewart and especially Michael Buble have bucked that trend but those aside most dont do that well or flop. Even back in the days when Mariah Carey and Celine Dion were achieving both huge single and album success their Christmas albums didnt do great so Leona is doing ok when looked at that way. Next week is the week i think she will achieve her peak position after X Factor and hopefully it might get her to the top 10. One more sleep is the first song by Leona since run that has connected with me, i didnt connect with any of the material of her last 2 albums so i wasnt fussed on how they performed but im really rooting for her to achieve success with this era.
December 4, 201311 yr The album is currently 48 on American Itunes, she's on the Today Show this morning in America so hopefully that should give it a boost. A performance on the American X-Factor would have been ideal though.
