Along with Daft Punk's silly single choice, is anyone a bit baffled by Disclosure's? I mean, I like it and everything but they're just sitting on the monster that is 'Confess To Me' for no good reason and releasing what is effectively a random album track.

Why has Adorn suddenly become such a possibility for an add?

I found out it's on the release schedule (again?). And there's the Jessie Ware remix and Radio 1 like her. But I don't know, I'm not going to expect it.

Maybe they're saving 'Confess To Me' for an X Factor performance :P Unlikely but could be the case like it was for Jessie J ('Who You Are') and Labrinth ('Beneath Your Beautiful'). 'F For You' is certainly not a bad choice anyway based on how well it's doing so far. They originally announced the next single would be 'When A Fire Starts To Burn' which would have been a FAR worse choice. Personally hoping for 'January' and/or 'Help Me Lose My Mind' to be released and smash.

I did think that initially "F For You" was a bad choice, but it plays out very well live (they performed it as the first song at Latitude), and it is performing moderately well at the moment even with modest airplay. I don't know if "Help Me Lose My Mind" would actually smash, it sounds like a #42 hit to me - though I do love it obviously. I think their best single-in-waiting is actually "Confess To Me" but sadly the 'Jessie Ware effect' would no doubt ENSURE that it doesn't become a hit so no joy with that one either sadly. :(

Anyway, onto playlist predictions:

Kings of Leon "Supersoaker" (surprised this wasn't added last week..)

Franz Ferdinand "Right Action" (ditto above)

The 1975 "Sex" (Inevitable indie re-release add - suggesting that there isn't anything else of worth on the album?)

London Grammar "Strong" (more HOPE than anything else)

Mutya Keisha Siobhan "Flatline" (surely?)

Surely they won't be adding Mutya Keisha Siohban considering they're Sugababes 1.0 but with a different name. They wouldn't playlist a comeback single from a has-been group from the early 00s - that's radio 2's jobbb

I don't know, I think it's very likely considering how much love they're getting from the indie press. This always sits well with Radio 1 who like to be as 'cool' and 'hip' as possible.

This week would be too early though, maybe next week is more likely.

Agreed, I think it's more likely than not they'll playlist Flatline, but probably a week or two too early yet. With Franz Ferdinand, they're probably a bit too "past it" for R1 to add them to the main playlist. I'm going for:

Mumford & Sons - Hopeless Wanderer

Wretch 32 feat. Jacob Banks - Doing OK

Kings Of Leon - Supersoaker

The 1975 - Sex

Kodaline - Brand New Day

Olly Murs - Right Place Right Time

London Grammar - Strong (though probably a week too early yet)

London Grammar "Strong" (more HOPE than anything else)

R1 will definitely playlist 'Strong', they A-Listed 'Wasting My Young Years' IIRC and London Grammar are getting bigger with every release at the moment, though I have a feeling this is going to be their 'Dust Clears' rather than their 'Pompeii'.

I wonder if they will playlist Axwell this week? Tom Odells next single Grow Old With Me has been sent out to Radio & R1 love him, so he'll probably be in with a good shout!

Didn't know Grow Old With Me was his next single, but yeah if it's been sent to radio there's no way Radio 1 won't playlist it!

Yeah it got sent out on Monday - release dates the 9th Sept, so they may sit on it for a week yet, but it's a good possible!

9th September, yeah they'll definitely sit on it for at least a week yet if not a couple of weeks!
Martin Garrix - 'Animals' possibly?

It's already been released unless the record company is 'doing a Lana' and they will release a radio edit ep with remixes, this is such a great track it needs some daytime airplay

Fryars is Sara Cox's big thing and its a tune so I hope it gets c-list or inmwt at most, also they could playlist Haim's new single!!

I hope they get behind Franz Ferdinand this week, though I really want Axwell to get on there but sadly I doubt it will happen

The 1975 "Sex" (Inevitable indie re-release add - suggesting that there isn't anything else of worth on the album?)

They've been pushing the song for years now, it was released by both of their pre-1975 bands prior to their current incarnation. I think they just REALLY like that song.

Wasting my Young Years was blisted for 7 weeks & the previous release Metal & Dust was in the INMWT list for 4 weeks!

Not to be pedantic Steve but WMYY was b-listed for 4 weeks and Metal & Dust was in the INMWT list for 3 weeks :P

No worries I compile mine by total weeks in the playlist hence 7 weeks in the playlist (where it ended up - blist)!

Should MKS be expecting a C-List entry this week? The release is in 4 weeks!

I certainly hope so. Everything is suggesting that they will be.
