'I Know Him So Well' was barely given any airtime on Comic Relief IIRC plus it was more a Susan Boyle track than a Peter Kay one. I think 'Sit Down' is different and will do better, but I don't think it'll be a guaranteed #1 either. Could see it reaching around #5.

TBH, P!nk is gonna snatch that #1 from the Sats :smoke:

PLEASE let this happen.

It won't though...

Tbh I think it'd be mad for Duke De Mont to not release his song this week. There's clearly a lot of demand for it. It needs to be brought forward.

Plus 'I Know Him So Well' was a terrible choice of song because everyone knows it and had heard it a million times before so no-one was interested in buying it. It's one of those ultra-hackneyed songs that just washes over people when they hear it. Whereas 'Sit Down' is more of a "hidden treasure" like 'Amarillo' and '500 Miles', the type of song which people might have heard vaguely a couple of times before but not that much (especially most young people). It's definitely got a very good shot of going to #1.

Poor Atomic Kitten and Liberty X! Why aren't any of their (other - in Atomic Kittens case) songs being downloaded?! They're my two favourite groups in the programme :( Blue I understand as it was a Blue-centric episode today, wasn't it? 'If You Come Back' for #1 etc.. etc... :cheer:

Gutted there is no 'I Can' though. Although I guess they're only focusing on the main material! :(

Poor Nicole indeed. :( It's a shame radio aren't supporting this. It's baffling as to why they have all completely ignored it too! She's a popular (and well received) judge from X Factor, her last era was a big success, they all supported the singles. :( I hope the Now inclusion means people will cherry pick it from their album and it stabilises in its third week. A run of 4-39-54-OUT looks better than 4-39-OUT. :(

I think radio can be really fickle, it's sometimes so confusing why they don't support a particular song or artist. I thought the same with Collide and Trouble, thought both would have been supported way more then they were.

On a side not, best signature on the forum right now Jonjo :P haha

Why, thank you :P

Radio playlisting is really weird. 'Radioactive' was a hit for Imagine Dragons, but they don't seem to be playlisting 'It's Time'... I think it'd be absolutely huge if it had backing. Now I just think it'll be another top 40 hit for them :\

Yeah I really dont know how they decide tbh, like will we ever hear from the likes of Aloe Blacc, Alex Clare, Carly Jae, Gotye? Artists who had such huge songs then the next song completely ignored? Can be bizarre..

Great to see Boomerang flopping its way out of the top 10 :D (although having 'Hey Porsche' there won't be much of an improvement :manson:)

I think it's possible that Need U (100%) could be released a week early at this rate - although the thought of them releasing it next week instead, and stopping The Saturdays getting to #1 is absolutely priceless

Nelly's new song is so lazy. Only heard it once, that was my first thought, maybe it'll change but I wasn't feeling it.

Nicole Scherzinger has sold a lot more records than Leona has in the past 3 years, so she definitely has a lot more cause for complaint.

Try With Me also got hardly any radio airplay I believe (I think most people have forgotten it exists now lol).

I think Nicole might have better luck on radio if she releases a piano ballad for her next single.

I don't understand why people are saying The Saturdays are contenders for #1 next week. Do you seriously think they might get around 60k on their first week? No freaking way. They'll be lucky enough to land anywhere close to the Top5.

Pretty sure The Saturdays have managed to get close to 60k with a few of their lead singles... (especially later ones) So it's definitely possible. 'All Fired Up' being their last pre-album single and being their biggest opening sales week (not including 'Just Can't Get Enough' - I think it might have beaten that anyway but I'm not sure and it doesn't count as it was for charity). This also has a lot more hype/radio airplay than a lot of their other material.

EDIT: Also, just watching the 'Boomerang' video on youtube and in the comments someone mentions it sounding similar to Hilary Duff 'Beat of My Heart'... YES! I can completely hear that!

30 Days and My Heart Takes Over both came after All Fired Up (I think). But their current song has a LOT more airplay than both of those, so I think it will be bigger like All Fired Up.
