It's looking good for The Saturdays so far. They'll probably get to #1 on iTunes but I still think they'll only get to #2 or #3 officially.

Eurgh, What About Us isn't really a worthy #1, TBH... :puke2:

What an horrible human being you are. Rochelle is going to have a child. She needs the #1. SHE NEEDS THE MONEY.

(Just kidding obviously  )

Tell her to start claiming benefits then, because Marvin Humes isn't gonna get her a #1 any time soon (or in the distant future!).

I think so too.

However, it'll be nice to see them at the top for a little while (Longer than All Fired Up's 10 mins lol).

Actually, I would say One Direction's label surprisingly don't really do much "chart-rigging", recently atleast -- Live While We're Young and One Way Or Another were both released pretty quickly (maybe 1 or 2 weeks after they premiered, but certainly nowhere near the 6-8 weeks that the Saturdays single has been getting promoted). For whatever reason, their label/management don't really seem overly-concerned with getting #1s (best example being them releasing 'Little Things' the same week as the album, when they would've had an even better chance of getting #1 if they'd released it a week or two before the album).

1D released the pre-orders for 'LWWY' and 'OWOA(TK)' weeks before the actual song premiered (and both of them did really well despite no one having heard them), even if the actual time between premiere and release wasn't too long I would still count that as "chart-rigging" as it's still building up a lot of hype for several weeks before release.

'Little Things' is a bit of a different case though. I can't imagine they even expected that song to go to #1, it seemed like a desperate rush release to attempt to divert attention from 'Live While We're Young' underperforming. Luckily it worked out well for them. I wonder where this era would be now if they hadn't decided to release 'Little Things' and just released the album off the back of a dying 'Live While We're Young' :P

Anyhow, aside from 1D and 'Notorious' I can't think of any pre-album releases by boybands and girlbands that weren't heavily held back.

The Sats only version was a pre-order EP exclusive only for the UK I think? Guess they might put it up on its own during the week if they think it'll help.

How utterly retarded.

They should put a normal version up! I hate the Sean Paul version but the original is one of my fave songs of the year so far.

Yeah I was about to say this. I'm not buying the Sean Paul version, as much as I love the Saturdays. Hm.

241. Heaven - Depeche Mode

Who? Me?

(Or do you mean their team? I'd agree then - they never make much sense though... :P)

WE'RE SO CLOSE TO THE NUMBER ONE, FEELS SO HOT HOT GOT THAT FIRE.

I believe the current record for the most posts in an iTunes weekly thread is Week Commencing the 27th May 2012 when Loreen had just won Eurovision! I've looked back and that got 58 pages when combining the 2 topics!

Can we beat that this week?

If everyone wants to laugh watch from 2:45 when Missing You was midweek nu1

Can we beat that this week?

That was a very dangerous question. You know about 60 Saturdays fans just accepted your challenge, right?

Can you imagine what this thread would be like if Girls Aloud and The Saturdays released in the same week. :o

It would be shit and very painful on my eyes and on my computer mouse.

The only good thing would be laughing at the over dramatic behaviour of the loons.
