Given some of the recent conversations here I wonder if there could be some kind of benefit in trying to incentivise voting early/on time? Doesn't have to be anything to do with the points total, could be getting to choose your running order in a semi or an extra play in the listenthrough or maybe (and more realistically) it could just be something cosmetic with low/no stakes like a special flair or a fancy shout out in the results thread for that silly motivational dopamine hit we all crave lmao 🤣

That could work, I know personally I vote when I have the time which is often at the weekend so the incentive wouldn't really make a difference for me but that's not to say it wouldn't for others.

I love the live show idea as well! Would we submit live versions of songs as well that have an accompanying performance video so it feels as "live" as possible? I definitely think we'd need to do some capping on song length and quantity too.

If it's Google form voting/results I wouldn't mind hosting if the issue was finding someone to do it (I don't mean to step on any toes but I know hosts are hard to find for spin offs) as it's the spreadsheets that put me off hosting a normal contest 😅 in saying that, if people aren't too opposed to Google form votes then I may host something else later this year with that, I know I've done it before but I can't remember the general reception of it

That's an interesting thought! I was thinking normal shorter songs like we use in Buzzfestivalen but where we just watch and listen live together once, but maybe a second running of it if it's a success could be entirely live performances sent, or other themes down the line etc...

That actually makes more sense! I'm excited by the idea so I hope it does happen
