'Read All About It, Pt. III', again?

Seriously, fuck the hell off. :manson:

This and 'Clown' have put me off her so much, I did actually buy her album when it was first released too.

Fookin hell at Waiting All Night's performance so far, that's incredible!

(and OMG that iTunes copy of Mozart's House sounds amazing  )

I know it's extremely premature to predict (and once I openly say this, it will no doubt not happen) but I actually think PSY could contend for #1 again in a week or two.

Sure it most probably won't come even close to the success of 'Gangnam Style' but if 'Gentleman' can get a pretty good top 10 effect, Capital will most definitely playlist it and so would Radio 1 probably. The video airplay will only increase and once the general public will notice its success, it could keep on selling.

will.i.am is very slowly catching up to Rudimental 0.7117 0.6693 0.6255 0.5493 0.3159 0.1208.

It would have to have a "Gangnam Style top 10 effect" and the trademark Saturday effect to challenge for #1.

I remember Rudimental supported Plan B on tour a few months ago and the crowd was absolutely dead for them. They sounded horrible live and the songs just sounded really generic and repetitive. I'm very suprised they're on track for another #1.

I saw Plan B at the O2 supported by Rudimental, and the crowd were really, really up for them. Me and my friend loved them, and I have since bought Waiting All Night today and pre-ordered their album.

But it's already been "noticed" by most music fans. The video's broken the record for most views in its first couple of days, or something. In fact, when you consider that, only being #10 is a pretty poor conversion rate from people viewing the video -> buying the song.

The views came predominately as a result of huge K-Pop fan base views, thus it isn't a poor conversion rate.

'#thatPOWER' will probably start dropping in a couple of days, the Bieber fanbase will be helping it out a lot right now. Rudimental's #1 is safe.

That is a worldwide record though, no way to tell how much of that was UK views. (And in any case the conversion rate is far better here than in the USA where it's still only #25 and was stalling in the 80s before the video release!)

Go away Emeli Sande please. I liked you before you decided to stretch OVOE for all it was worth. On another note, Top 100 smash for Caro Emerald this week (Tangled Up) and hope Jessie Ware can climb. Although, I doubt the latter, unfortunately.
I wouldn't be surprised if she was recording a Read all about it part VI for her next album/single
Radio 1 haven't playlisted it yet but she is pretty much guaranteed to be playlisted so it's OA/OS in the same vein as 'Now' by Paramore.

Except that wasn't OA/OS at all, because they were daft and held it back a month. And even then R1 only playlisted it a week before release. And it's still on the A-List two months after flopping, when "Still Into You" is doing quite well. Possibly the worst handling of a song by record company and radio that I've seen in a long time.

I just want to register my utter DISGUST at Jessie Ware only being #95.
I never got as irritated with 21 as I have with OVOE. Maybe it's the hair.

Totally agree. It seems mainstream enough for the masses to catch on! Especially with Duke Dumont having a similar vibe in his song, and getting to number one.

I'm trying to let this Rudimental song click but it just isn't happening, just standard club fare with little depth and nowhere near the anthemic means of his last single, just looking at a song called #thatPOWER OFFENDS me greatly so I was sure I was gonna hate this - it certainly could've been a lot worse than it is.

Looking at the current iTunes standings, This is quite honestly one of the worst top 10s I've seen in a long time, pretty much nothing excites me at all :(

Over the moon with Rudimental & Ella Eyre hitting the #1 spot, one of my favourite #1s of the year if it makes it. Hope it does! Ella is the next big thing, what a voice, Rudimental have done no wrong so far as well so I'm very happy seeing them at #1! :D

Sorry I'm sure it's already been discussed but why is Read All About it back up so high?? :o

The performance in which 'Read All About It (Part III)' was used in was stunning! One of the best auditions I think I've ever seen!
