OMG how do you guys deal with this DNQ shit every month? I haven't done it in about 3 years, and now that it's so blatently coming, it's made the whole contest for so 'meh' for me :lol:

Well, it obviously sucks (I would know) but on the one hand, there is a lot of great new discoveries that I wouldn't find anywhere else, I think that's the main thing that keeps me coming back. Just take it in your stride and vow you'll come back stronger the next time! (I was really surprised that you sent a song like that btw!)

 

(I think I will take a break quite soon admittedly, I'm pretty parched of what else to send and I think I'd just need a bit more time to find something that I really love.)

I haven't got round to listening yet, actually, I'm hoping it's as strong as Rich says it is - like you say, it's new discoveries that keeps you interested as much as anything, and I barely know any songs this contest!

The discoveries help me, but in those contests where I don't like that many entries and the final is full of crap........being a moderator is what helps get me through :lol: There is always next month to plan for and new things to do.

For the record, this isn't me stropping about DNQ - I've been long awaiting it for ages :lol:

this is my third, almost qualified the first time (dropped on the tiebreak), but as a newbie to this there's plenty to root for. I'm running through the songs for the second time now and the positions have changed already from my initial predictions/ratings, but there are (about two thirds through) three I absolutely love and four I like a lot, and none I dislike at all. I'm a musical $l*t, mind you, I've said it before, never met a genre I'd say no to.....:)

 

 

Listening now and am UPSET at the apparent unlikelihood of Zechonia qualifying.

I think I have had more DNQ predictions in almost every single contest (Aura Dione is probably the only exception but I might be wrong) since I started participating. :lol:

Whilst this doesn't exactly give anything away I can reveal that every single track in both semi finals has got points. Thus proving just how diverse the semi finals and votes so far have been. :D

Robot still has a high chance of qualifying though, don't underestimate his power!! And his song has grown on me.

 

And besides, I had quite a few of songs that were predicted as DNQ - and I still got though! :D See 'New France' and 'Opium' especially.
